There's one way I know of to completely get rid of the traction control. Obviously in 4 low it completely shuts off but in 4 high if u hold the traction control button for a while that will shut it off just like in 4 low. But yes it is a stupid system especially when u want to drift around some corners in the winter
Power. I love everything about my 10 jkur just wish it had a little more under the hood. This could be because my last vehicle was a 2013 mustang gt with 420hp lol.
Have you tried a cold air intake, throttle body spacer and larger exhaust to see what kind of additional hp you could squeeze out. Those all seemed to be somewhat inexpensive adds. I just haven't talked to anyone who has actually done those to see what kind of bump they got. I'm thinking about putting a 3" lift under my 12 JK unlimited 4dr and some 35" tires. I"m guessing with the extra rubber my power will drop so I'm hoping those above mentioned adds will bring back some of the HP I loose.
Lot of little petty crap.....
Plastic sleeve on sunrider top.
Blasted zippers on top
Throttle lag.
Stock flares. (should be painted like on Sahara and have an off road style as an option.
What are those plastic sleeves even for? I always leave mine unlocked and never noticed any negative effect, and the top actually lays back better when down. And the only thing I truly hate is the fact i cant fully disable the ESP in 2wd.
Um throttle lag I like in the rocks. it makes for a softer pedal when I am crawling. i don't like the electronics being so overly complicated for tuning and adding extra gears like an atlas 4 speed in the automatic. They can't get it to work.
1st jeep I bought in dec got bought back by crysler after 3 months of fighting and service manager intervention . The one I have now was on assembly line right behind the previous one according to vin number and it has crappy paint job just not as bad at the time all I could see was pitted door hinges on the Passanger rear door. I was tired of the fighting and told them to give me can of spray paint. I still hadnt fixed it though
You are right, I did a youtube search and there is a latch button and the headrest comes off. Problem is that the two metal rods stay on the seat like spikes. I need to go out and try to see if it's the same on the 2014.
-Move the window crank back 3-4 inches, it hits my left knee.
-Too many pores and cracks on the dash for dirt to get into
-The leather cover for the stick shift. I like the accordion-style cover on the TJ's better
-Would like a fold-down tailgate instead of a swing-out, or at least make it swing out from the opposite direction (easier to load cargo from the sidewalk while parallel-parked).
My biggest complaint is paying 30k for a vehicle with crank windows, manual locks and a stick. Not that I want them, but just blows the mind the amount of profit margin built into these.
I have. 13' Unlimited. Last winter was a bad one here in Indiana.. And i had a crack in my windsheild that eventually went across the whole front side. I filed it with my insurance and they replaced it. Annoying but thought that i was food for a while. Well less than 6 months later i had a pebble hit it and now another crack.. Told
Myself i would not replace this one unless the crack gets bigger.. Yesterday i was driving and got another crack.. I only drive my jeep 3 days a week so i find this very irritating.. Does anybody else have this problem with the windshield and if so any recommendations?
Nothing major to complain about, just a few minor changes I wish they had made in my 08 Rubicon. There should be lumbar support in those seats, control arm skid and evap skid should come stock, and seatbelts fluttering when the doors are off is annoying. Overall though, my Wrangler has performed beyond my highest expectations off road, has been a reasonably comfortable DD considering it's a 2 door, has been the most reliable and by far the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. I didn't like the stock bumpers, but even if they came with better ones, I probably would have replaced them anyway.
They really haven't changed much over the years (I have a TJ). I like the looks but the biggest complaints I get from others is;
Harsh ride
Cheap dash
Better paint
More room
Has an '80's feel to them
Should be waterproof inside cabin
Better quality components throughout
Wish they had "mod" or "upgrade" packages available from the factory
Wish they were build by the Japanese so they would be high quality
that you cannot at least lock just the rear axle when in 4WD High. I know the electronics can be manipulated but why should you need to. Just make it that way from the start
Two things I don't like. I don't like how the fender flairs don't extend horizontily across the bottom to keep all the crap off the side. I'm seriously considering getting some mud flaps.
I don't like the wide plastic front bumper. And the fact that it also collects a lot of mud and crap thrown from the tires.
