Thinking about going to a coil spring lift

I was looking online and saw the coil spring lift kit and wanted to switch from my Rough Country lift. Good idea or bad idea? In the long run I want to get my jeep to flex and take it off road.

It's kind of tough to give you an opinion without letting us know which lift you are talking about.

Welcome to the Forum!

Daggo is right. You need to provide some more details to make a fair comparison.

In general, unless you are talking about a Tuff Country lift most lifts will provide some benefits. Some kits are optimized for flex, some for road manners, smooth ride and some are just good all round but not the best in any specific driving condition. The RockKrawler and MetalCloak are specifically designed with flexing in mind but they are not a budget lift.
