Man, that sucks! This is the primary fear that pushed me to a hard top.

Did they take anything or were they just being an ass?

So falling ice? Something flung at? Someone taking a peek with a razor knife?

His profile says Jacksonville, Fl., so I'm guessing; not the ice.

Sorry man, that's super shitty. I don't understand why someone would cut it. It literally takes 10 seconds to take a window out, and you have much better access to what is inside with no window, rather than a slit through the bottom.

Sorry, man. Not much you can do, except keep stuff out of sight (or not in your JKU). If they're just being a d#$k and cutting and running, then there's nothing you could do.

This is what made me buy a h.t.

You can remove a h.t. for summer . The same thing just happened to some one I saw on the road . I'd be P''off also ! Biff P.S. If it'd make you feel better my H.T. leaks from the 1st day. Well it's a jeep !!

lesson I learned when I had a convertable, I just didn't lock the doors. If the doors are locked they cut the top and get what they want. Doors unlocked they still get what they want but you don't have to buy a new top.

Of course doors locked will cut down on the people that aren't serious and will only steal if the opportunity presents itself.

If it makes you feel any better they break glass windows also. Soft top may be easier than breaking a window, but buying a hardtop isn't going to protect you from these degenerate bastards.

Wish these pricks would lose a finger for every time they are caught stealing/vandalizing others property.

Yes, but a soft top is more inviting, and quieter to break into.

It happens. Idiots abound and most are scared of a job. I had a Ford Pickup that I left the doors unlocked all the time. Kid broke the driver's window to get to the pull out stereo. I heard the window break and went outside. He ran off. Called the cops, they took a report. The cop, "Was the door unlocked? Sheesh, the idiot should have just opened the door". And I was out the deductible for the door glass.

It is the world we live in. I am sorry to say that. But it is.

Agreed! It's just a whole lot noisier to break a window and it would set off the alarm and attract attention. My previous car did not lock so I'm in the habit of not leaving anything I want in the jeep anyway. But someone did open my previous car, search it, found nothing and broke my turn signal... $400 fix and they didn't even take anything. Some people just deserve to be shot.

Learned years ago, don't keep anything in the jeep you can't live without, and never lock the doors.

Sometimes it doesn't matter, had someone slice my TJ's soft upper doors to get at less than a dollar's worth of change in a cup holder. The kicker was the doors were unlocked at the time.

I second this! Hell... leave the windows down even.

Invasion of my space or privacy (car/house) makes me furious. I had my lawn stuff stolen a few years ago at my old house (outside storage building) and it was enough to make me now own 3 pistols. I wasn't even that mad about my lawn stuff being gone, material things can be replaced. I was more pissed off that they were up in my business and on my property.

Sorry to hear/see this...I feel for you. Get a window sticker that says, "If I catch you, I will shoot you!"
