Something else for the Lotto list.

Aww it even has ickle JW Speakers! No rock rails though, too bad.

Considering that there are resin wargaming models out there that weigh in at $1500, and they still have to be built and painted, and don't even have ANY functional parts besides joints... $2300 sounds about right for this guy. If I ever come to a point where I can't have a real Jeep anymore, I might buy it and have it on my desk to remind me of the good times.

As is though, $2300 would check off A LOT of items from my real Jeep's upgrade list!

Bla, can't believe how much bling bling can you put into something, and still not enjoy the crap out of it :), in this is case, what do we know, an offroad toy...

Mine gets used, and I don't need $2300 to make visually appealing hahaha

Axial Scx10 with the rubicon body will run you a bit over 300 in a RTR package. They make all sorts of scale stuff for em. you can get working winches, light bars, i've even seen a working 1/8 scale hi lift. at some point id like to build an Axial into a mini-me for my jeep.

The Rubi is more expensive than that, $459 in Amazon for the Rubi Unlimited, the 2 door is cheaper, but is not a Rubi, they called it G6 Falken edition.
I got myself the one with the Deadbolt body, that one is $300, the body I have now is a Proline Dodge Ram, painted black with $3 spray paint from Lowes, came out great, and the paint is holding up after abusing the thing everywhere, my 8 year old will give it all the hell testing in the world, and
He drives them to those fun angles and ask me to take the pics.

This is how the thing looks when it's clean

I want to take the scaler game seriously, and I'm thinking to go with the Rubicon body, or any other cool body from Proline for the Axial SCX10, replace all the differentials, hubs, lca's, ucas, shock, springs, tires, doing all lights, upgraded servos (I have a hi torque one for the steering that I took from one of my old HPI Savages in my kid SCX10) and yes, It will be very easy to reach the $1k mark and go over it that way, but i'll start hunting down parts in ebay or craigslist, or using what I can from my old RC's, to keep my cost down. it's fun to build them for sure.

Need to step up your game... for ~$2K you can buy a nice vintage Taco 22, West Bend 700 2-stroke, with nothing more than a scrub brake.

These were the toys of the sixties...

One spin down the street is a life changing experience...

I know there are RC versions of it and would be cheaper but I could not find one similar to this 1/8 scale which is the same HDJKU model. I'd change some parts out to get it more closer to what I have on my setup but trying to justify the expense. I'd really love to have one but we'll see if the price comes down. Would be a nice Xmas gift for me but I still got some things I'd like to add for my rig first.

I have about $500 total including the price of the toy. the Hobby can get pretty expensive, quick... just like building our 1:1 models :)

Here is my Rubicon RC. I work on several models I have during the winter. The hobby can get very expensive.

If anyone finds a nicely built JKU white HD edition diecast, plastic, whatever, let me know. I can't find one that's nice enough. Here is an example of the sizes or quality at least I'm looking for. This is just some of the cars I've owned or own, I ran out of room so need to work on making another shelf for the rest. I feel like a kid with these diecast but it's also a reminder of my collection and each car I've owned has a story to tell. Conversation piece I call it.

Ive also been looking for a white hard rock unlimited model. This is the closest thing i could find so ordered it..... Its a white 10a 2 door rubicon. Wish I could find a 4 door hard rock one. https://www.diecastcraze.com/produc...versary-in-bright-white-greenlight-86050-1-43

Well if you ever see a 4dr version, let me know. I like the Capo one but can't justify the inflated price for them. I'm seeing $3K for them now because they are limited. I think they are made in China. I saw reviews on the build and seen complaints on them like bad instructions and missing parts. I think since they are limited, once the parts start breaking, you will then have a very expensive paper weight. Such tiny parts + made in China = broken parts. Being they are limited it means you will have a hard time finding replacement parts. Oh well, better to use the money on building a real jeep, not invest in a toy that won't do much for me especially at that price.
