Thule 4 Bike Swing Out Rack on My JKU Rubicon

OK, so I've seen lots of threads about bike racks and all kinds of references to everybody's rack but instead of clogging other threads with info about my rack I decided to post a thread for my rack and then I can refer to it in other peoples' threads. Probably a good way to go to at least show what this one looks like. So, I'm going to do a series of posts with pictures in this thread to show its details.

What the rack looks like when on the Jeep.

Here is some pictures of the hitch.

They show the distance from the hitch pin to the upright part of the rack. Approximately 11 - 1/2". The stock receiver, the pin that holds the hitch in and the lock that protects the pin from being removed.

In the first post notice the distance between the rack and the spare tire. The distance of clearance is about 2 inches. The lock on the side of the rack closer to the camera makes the rack look closer to the tire. The lock cable pulls out to connect to the other half of the lock cable at the opposite side of where the bikes sit. So, overall about 2 inches from the tire. My jeep has a stock tire (MT) on stock wheel.

Oh yah, someone made me jealous when they posted that the Yakima swing out rack had a bottle opener. Notice the wrench on the hitch lock pin, it has a bottle opener! So, either rack, you'll be able to get your favorite beverage open.
