Well I bit the bullet again...Last time landed me with a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X. Since I have no significant other to buy me a badass gift, I bought a Teraflex 4" Elite LCG Long arm lift with shocks and Tom Woods front and rear 1310 drive shafts. I also got a bullydog GT tuner so I can adjust for tire size and Rockstar II's with 4.5 backspacing.
I think I've covered all my bases but, can you guys think of anything else I need to order with these mods? Keep in mind I said "need" bc theres a bunch of stuff that we all want!!
What should I expect to pay for install?
Also, Im torn between 35 x 12.50 Goodyear wrangler MT/R's or Nitto Trail Grapplers. Id go 37 but I don't want to buy gears right now. Maybe next Christmas.
It'll probably be a few weeks before the install but pics will definitely follow if yall want them.
Does the TF kit come with a track bar? Otherwise I would say get the 37's and gears now. Why? Because at this time you don't have a significant other. Maybe next year you will then you might never get them.
I just went 37s (Nitto Trail Grapplers) on my Rubicon with stock 4.10s. It will never win a power award, but it isnt bad. I plan to regear soon but more because of the coming heat here (Phoenix) to save the engine and transmission in the heat, but until then, it will be fine.
I fully trussed front and rear D44s including C Gussets.
I put my last truck on a dyno before lifting and had 562 hp and1387 ft/lbs torque. After lifting it and going from stock 31's to 35's I lost a lot of economy and performance. I don't think I'm gonna ask this engine to push more than 35's. I guess it depends on how my ego is when I buy the tires

Unfortunately with work, I don't have time to do the install myself so I don't know if I can get the shop to take photos. I'll def have a before and after
Here's the thing. Our factory ball joints are .. well garbage. Life span is maybe 50k stock. Lift + bigger tires and if wheeled .. Sooner.
Welding can cause the joint internals to melt if not kept cool. Imo, it's best To just do the ball joints and upper C Gussets at the same time.
I have the TF 4" long arm elite kit on my 2015. My jeep is my DD and the ride quality is outstanding. I run 37's with flat fenders and to me it is the perfect "look" combo. 35's with stock fenders and that lift look good too.
Keep in mind if you go to 37's you will be upgrading your ball joints, front axle housing, front brakes, gears, axles, carrier, etc...just depends on your needs.
Lastly, I have and auto with 4.10's and it does fine with the 37's however, I will be re gearing to 4.88 next month when I swap my front axle housing out.
Luckily Ive welded since I was young so I'll probably do the ball joints and gussets myself if I can figure out how to pull the axles and put em back in
