Time to put top back on

Well it was 39 here this morning and only 52 at noon, getting kind of cold driving without a top. Next week the hardtop goes back on. This is always a sad day for me. It came off April 11 this year.

I was thinking the same thing. Poked my head outside this morning to see if I could drop the top. But there was a chill in the air. I knew this day wold come. I'll probably put the hard top on in the next few weeks.

And I was really getting into doors off mode.

Here in Phoenix its almost time to take the top off!!! Humidity is still about 20-40% higher than normal due to the monsoon season and the temps are still cracking 100+. About another week and I'll be set for two months of perfect topless weather.

Here in Arizona, like Khufutaron said, it's almost time to take the top off!!! Actually, just the freedom panels for me, but I don't plan on putting them on again until mid-spring comes around.

I haven't had the freedom panels off since early april. I'll cook otherwise. I can't even survive with the windows down. I don't know how you do it.

It is about the rain for me. Cold doesn't bother me much. I am used to riding the Harley during the winter on dry days. A good beanie for my shaved head and my favorite mountain gear jacket and I am good too go in the cold with top and doors off driving. Besides the seats are heated Starts to Rain top on.

Been doorless for the past 6 months, safari top stays on because 105+ weather will burn you to a crisp. Cooling down a bit though as our highs next week are low 90s. Might have another 2-3 months of no doors, and I'll probably swap the softtop for the hardtop this winter.

Rocked a safari top with doors for a while this summer. Then took the doors off for the last part of summer then it randomly started raining a lot here. ...put the hard top on and the doors on to keep the rain out. -.-

I see I'm not the only one sad to have to put my top back on. Yesterday we shop vac 10 pounds of sand out of it and got most of the sticks.
I do find myself thinking Why did I ever get AC on my jeep when it's never going to have a top on in the summer? It's getting to be time to put the summer toy ( Jeep) away for the winter and get my winter toy ( sled) out.
This choice I don't think will work out for you guys that live down south.

This will be the first time in over 12 years I'm not switching over. My DD is driven most of the time now and bought a nice cover to protect the jeep/soft top. Sold the hard top a month ago

Here in Minnesota the temps are starting to get cooler in the mornings. Last year I ran the soft top all winter and I was never chilly. I'm debating putting the hard top on this year because the road salt and brushing the snow off the soft top does take is toll on the top. I'm still undecided, but I'm really thinking hard top for the winter this year.

I still use the AC with no doors on. Also keeps the rad fan going and helps the trans cooler around town.

Hard top went back on today. First Bengals home game tomorrow night. Need some protection for the tailgating stuff while at the game.

My hard top went on August 25 reluctantly. I just don't trust the people at my school to not cut my soft top.

Spent hard the day cleaning out all the rocks and dust from the jeep. Put 409 on the soft top and pulled it off. Put the doors back on. Tomorrow the hard top goes back on. My jeep looks clean but sad.

So sad that you have to worry about what some puke might do. I know cause one ran a knife along the passenger side of my soft top on my YJ. This was quite a few years ago but it still bothers me when it pops into my mind.

I'm debating when to put it on. Had lows in the upper 40's a few nights ago, and I was topless. It made for a fun midnight drive home. Stupid me was wearing a Columbia PFG shirt with no jacket.

Well the hardtop is on now it almost doesn't feel like the same jeep.
I guess I can lock it now and it's warmer to drive.

Oh yea, me too, here's my winter toy! >.< Doh!
Maybe a bush bar on the front, sliders, how about I McGyver my summer doors to it and throw my cargo net over my head? Neighbors already suspect I'm a little off, that will confirm it for them.
