Question Tinted Soft Top

i have applied the cling tint to my soft top windows which are already factory tinted i just wanted them darker to match the 5% i put on the front. i am considering using the spray tint on them to see if it works better. has anyone ever sprayed their soft top windows with the tint and if so i would like to know how it turned out.

You mean like VHT nightshades? That would not be a good idea, paint doesn't like to stick to flexible surfaces

I have not tried this yet but I was thinking of using Tamiya Polycarbonate lexan smoke "paint" on my already tinted soft top down the road.....
it bonds to lexan and I would assume plastic windows and will not flake off (it is scratch-able though ) ..... if someone has a sample of the window material I can test it......

The paint is made by Tamiya it is for lexan r/c car bodies....
Available at most hobby shops....
I have not tried this yet but as soon as I can find some scrap material to test it I will let everyone know....
the paint is a translucent gray smoke color called "smoke" ...
Not sure it would work for un-tinted windows (wrong color)
I will investigate other color options for that purpose...

Here is a color list...
The translucent colors are what I would stick with outside of the smoke color which in light coats comes out translucent on lexan...
Until I can find a scrap window I can't test it but I will be hunting till I find one free or really cheap....

Go to a fabric store and get a swatch of clear vinyl. They'll cut you off a hunk for nothing. I am skeptical that any paint will hold up to the bending and flexing of a Jeep window.... Prove me wrong, please!

OK tried it and ..................
Good news IT STICKS really well it wont even scratch ......
You can crumple it into a ball and it looks like new after its flattened back out....
The bad ......I don't like it it, becomes too opaque in my opinion.........
I just did simple fades to give an example............

Keep in mind I did these blind on my deck 30min. ago so they are not perfect.

I think it would look cool on the side windows but the rear would be hard to see anything through with these paints on it.....
