Tire help for a rookie

I just bought a 2009 sahara unlimited with 35" Nitto grapplers. I will not be off roading so what size and type all terrains do you all recommend. I have the factory jeep wheels. I have the 35X12.50-18LT for sale on Craigslist.

For AT tires, it doesn't get much better than the Goodyear Duratrac. If you want to get a little bit of your performance back, you could change to a 33" tire. However, the 35" Duratrac is going to be much less weight than the Nittos. So even switching to them will get you a bit of performance back.

However, keep in mind that any tires for those stock 18" wheels are gonna hit the wallet HARD! I might would recommend selling the wheels as well and going with something in the 15"-17" range.

I would definitely go back to a 33. A 15 or 16 inch rim would have cheaper tires too. Everyone raves about the duratrac but I love my Yokohama geolandars. They are significantly cheaper, don't wear out, and work for my offroading. The downside is that they don't look as aggressive

You've gotten excellent advice, a rarity after one post.

Does Jonesoxygen mean you're craving 02?

Welcome to WF.
