Tire Size

I am trying to find out how large a tire I can fit on my 2011 Wrangler Sport.
It now has 255/75R17. How does that translate to inches

Thanks

You aren't trying very hard. Largest tire on stock JK? Here's your answer!

Opinion needed. I want a beefier look. If my current tire is a 32" Will the 33" tires give that to me. I did purchase a leveling kit ( not installed yet ) Dont know if that will allow a larger tire. First time Jeep owner.

Well if you still have the Goodyear SRA , any tire would look beefier...I put BFG KM on mine in the stock size....I think it looks better and I installed the Daystar 3/4 leveling kit

We did a 285/75/17 (33.8/11.2). Leveling kit and flat fenders would be functional and have the look.

All 5, with #5 on the stock carrier... the rims are 3.75 back spaced JEGS BAJA 8 steelies. I did have to trim 3 inches off that plastic air dam that hides the crash bar. Full locked turns thumped that plastic

I don't plan to leave it on the stock carrier past next summer, will switch to a bumper carrier as they are a heavy tire in the mud terrain.., I'd guess 70-80 pounds.

I would not wheel it like this yet until I get flat fenders and at least 2" of lift to give me some room to twist with sway bar disconnected.

Thanks. I'm going with 33/12.50/17 MT Baja's, but have no idea what my back spacing is. I hope discount tire can help me there since that is where I got them.

Most 33" will measure less than 33"!after installed. My toyo open country at2's (which I love) spec out at 33.3 per toyo's spec but after install they measure 32.5". I would look at a 34 or 35" tire.
