Tire Size opinions

New to me 2007.
Plans are very little off roading if any.
I am thinking for looks the terraflex 2.5 lift and 305 60 18 terra grapplers.
Just looking for opinions that may influence my decision on tire size.
Any pictures of this set up would be great.

That setup would work.

However, why stick with 18" tires? They'll set your wallet on fire. You could buy 15" or 16" wheels AND tires for a comparable price (maybe even less), than just the 18" tires.

That way you'd be sure to get a set of wheels with the proper backspacing, around 4.5" or less.

Also, some of the Grapplers are heavy as asteroids...not sure about the Terra, specifically. Might wanna look into it.

a lift and those tires and you aren't planning on doing ANY off-roading? Idk, but I would just stick with stock height and get smaller wheels. Better gas mileage and cheaper tire replacements. But hey, if you want just the look, then go for it, doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks...just my thoughts, I'm sure others will chime in. good luck with your decisions!

I have a set of 295/70R17 Nitto Terra grapplers on right now. They are a good tire and are wearing very evenly so very little road noise or squirrly feeling from them. Kbwwolf is correct in that they are ridiculously heavy in comparison to similarly sized tires and they are quite stiff so they give kind of a rough and bouncy ride over any bumps/potholes/etc. I don't dislike them but I am following many by switching to a 15" wheel and a lighter 33x12.5 for wallet savings when replacing tires.

Maybe I will go 17's but I like the more modern big wheel look. I do know the LT tires if they are E's or even D's get very heavy. They do have a P285 70 17 that would be lighter.
Thanks for the replies!

If I was to be practical I would leave the stock 18" wheels and the 255 75 18's on it.
But what fun would that be?

Zero to none.

The terra grapplers are good tires. I have taken them almost everywhere. The 18 inch rims does make them more expensive thought. I am about to take that exact setup off for larger rims and tires. I had to run with spacers if you want the stock rims. Too bad you aren't closer I would sell you my take off. The other guy was right they do wear evenly and are not loud at all. I have a set on my dodge ram cummins for about 30k miles and still have about 5-10k miles left. My two cents.

I went with the Terra's on 18 inch wheels about a year ago and i have no regrets. They have been good in snow, mud, and on the road.
