TireCrawler.com? Anyone buy from them?

Looking around for a set of Toyo Open Country M/Ts and found Tire Crawler to be really cheap. Anyone with experience with these guys?

I always recommend discounttiredirect.com, because they gave me a sweet hook up when I got my wifes tires there (almost 200 bucks cheaper than what their website said, pretty much got a tire for free!). That being said, they don't stock toyos. You might check out treadepot.com for those. looking at 5 37x12.5x17s, at tirecrawler its 2014 shipped to my door, at treadepot its 1795 shipped to my door. pretty big difference. tire crawler has some crazy shipping costs

sneck... DAMN, Thanks! Have you ordered from them before? Looks like they also offer Road Hazard deal too for $35/tire.

I have not, but I've heard of them across of a couple forums. I would do a google search on any online website before you order, but they seem legit

I just checked them out and their price for the BFG KM's is $20 more per tire than tirerack. Pass. Nothing beats tirerack in my experience.

discount does free shipping, plus they price match any shipped price. plus, if you just call them up, tell them you heard about them on the forums, and wanted to hear the best price....

they'll usually hook you up. it's really the free shipping that helps to seal the deal, although they do really try to push their tire warranty.

*also, in the intrest of fairness, did the same check. 5 37x12.5x17. at tirerack.com, 2157.70 shipped to me. discount tire, 2080.95

all I'm saying is, shop around!

Another vote for Discount Tire Direct. They have free shipping and will give forum members an additional $50 off when ordering a full set of 5x tires. You can also get your tires balanced free for life from any local DT even if you buy from them online.

That's nice! Unfortunately these stores aren't in my area. If they match or beat tirerack and offer free shipping then it's a no-brainer, especially with a $50 off coupon. That kind of stuff doesn't show up on their website though so I assume you have to call them for these deals.

Just PM the rep here on the forums and he will give you pricing. When you are ready to order, simply call them up and they will take care of you.

I agree, DTD is very competitive and has great customer service. Other websites that have lower prices will charge you for shipping, whereas DTD won't. It often evens out, but then add on a forum discount and really good customer service, and then you're ahead of the game.

DiscountDirect 100%, They give you the hook up for sure, just called last friday and ordered 5 33 X 12.5 X 15 Duratracs mounted with wheels and sensors new lug nuts and road hazard for $1750 shipped UPS to me. You can not beat the deal. TC is the man and he can hook you up for sure.

I would 100% recommend just calling in. You can certainly get a great price on the website, but when you call in they seem to be willing to work a deal, especially if you mention you found them through the forums. Working with the DTD rep on the forums is also a good idea. Like I said, they might not always be the best list price, but they will certainly work to get you a great price shipped to your door. I know when I shop around the the MTR/Ks I want, tirerack is probably who I will go with, because even with shipping charges, because they would be shipping out of CT, the shipping is low. But I bet if I called DTD, they would just match the price and have the tires at my doorstep 2 days later!

I wish my tires were in stock :-(

I was a loyal customer of tirerack.com until I compared them to DTD. I was pricing 33" Nitto's and Goodyear MTZ's And DTD was cheaper in checkout because of free shipping. I contacted tirerack and they wouldn't offer ANYTHING. No free shipping, no discount...and I've bought several sets of tires from them.

Looks like DTD got a new customer!

Hey Spartacus, I was asking the same question as you as I am also getting toyo mts. Did you end up buying it from tirecrawler? And we're they good, any problems so far? The low price scares me to want to buy it from them.

My last 2 sets of tires were from Discount Tire Direct. I also got the road hazards, and they have a reputation of honoring reasonable warranty claims on or off road, so long as it is reasonable.
They price match, and are a well known, reputable company that you don't have to wonder about. Highly recommended.

But DTD and Tirebuyer do not offer Toyo. I'm running into the same problem.

Looks cheap up front but looking at the Duratrac's, they are $30 cheaper then DTD but cost $43 to ship and DTD is free shipping. In the end, it is still $13 cheaper at DTD because of the free shipping. Not to mention another $10 off if you buy 5 tires and get the $50 forum discount.

haha yeah for sure, but if they don't stock the brand you're looking for you're out of luck!

and damn you for giving me another tire site to look at

*edit* wow, i'll give it to tirebuyer for actually having a search feature that makes sense. it's nice to be able to search by size and not have to guess the numbers!

I used tirecrawler and treaddepot to get a cheaper price through 4wheelparts. Even DTD couldn't match their price with shipping. Paid less than 850 for 4) 33" BFG KM2s shipped to my door. DJ
