Tires and Wheels

Hey guys i would like to not lift my jeep yet but go up to bigger tires and black rims. Would 285/75r16 radial all terain tires work with steel wheels that are 16x8, 5x5 bolt pattern and a 4.25 backspacing? I'm not the greatest at explaining this so if it doesn't make sense just say.

Thanks

I would look at "the combo" 15 inch alloy wheels and 33 inch(no lift) duratrac tires its very popular on this forum here is a link to a thread:

Short answer: yes.

But...If you go off-road, your tires will probably rub your fenders under flex situations. A simple TF leveling kit ($130) will fix that, and your Jeep's factory rake, as well.

And why steelies? You a rock crawler? Pros: if they get bent, you can pound em out w/a BFH. Cons: They're heavy and they rust.
