TJ and JKU

Recently bought a JKU to go with our TJ. They are both great in their own ways, I don't have. Soft top yet for the JK, so the T J is more fun in the sun. The JK is a lot better ride, but the TJ has a better stereo. Any problems I need to be on the lookout with the JK?

What he said. Especially when you find out how capable it is off road. The electronics really help wheeling capability when understood. It limits wheel spin and really enhances the wheeling ability. JKs are by far the most capable Jeep straight out of the box. Just make sure you wheel it in low range. It's also nice to put big meats on it for very little coin.

Congrats! I have one of each as well (06 lj rubi and 13 jkur). I still prefer my lj but it is nice being chauffeured around in the jk.

They are different Jeeps for sure. I miss the ease of working on my TJ, especially with the electronics difference regarding the canbus, but the JKU is growing on me in terms of room inside and a smooth drive. I can't say I don't enjoy cruising at 75mph without noticing, in the TJ I would be locked into 3rd for the power to keep that speed. You will have to get used to the length probably, I still have to watch for the right rear on turns, I was spoiled by the short wheel base of the TJ.
