tolerances on clutch and transfercase

not sure if it's been discussed in the past but I was wondering about the tolerances of the stock rubicon clutch and transfer case. reason being is because I am planning to custom make a turbo kit for the jeep. still undecided whether or not to do single or twin turbo but just wondering if anyone knew the hp & torque tolerances so that I can find out what the stock limitations limitations are. the clutch I know is upgrade-able to a stronger dual or triple clutch if I need to, but I'm moreso worried about the 4x4 system shredding itself from too much power.

Just how much power are you planning? They handle V8 Hemi'd judt fine.

I'd probably be looking at 400-500 hp at the wheels, lol figure if i'm gonna do it go big or go home. I know the hemi puts out around 360hp, which isn't anything to scoff at but compared to the new 3.6 at 285, it's also not that much of a power difference.

Hmmm tough crowd, I'm guessing no one has tried their hands at high power output on jeeps? It's my first one so I'm not sure there are precedents for such output levels, then again I do recall seeing a tj ( least I think it was ) with a viper motor at an offroading show a couple years back.

I don't know about tough crowd. Just seems like 500rwhp would need to worry about more than the t-case and clutch.

having helped build a friend's 2001 VW jetta VR6 with a stage 3 turbo that puts out roughly the same numbers as I'm planning for the jeep, you'd be surprised to see how well certain stock parts hold up. then again those crazy germans don't always follow the same logic when it comes to building their cars lol.
