Took the (POLL) JK on sand and dunes...Prefer dirt trails now

What preference do you have in off-roading if you had a choice? Sand, Dirt, or Mud (Poll)?

Fairly new to the off road scene. Ever since I got the JK I have been hitting up trails (dirt and rocks) when ever I get a chance.

Over the weekend I headed to the island with some friends to kick up some sand and conquer dunes.

I found this experience to be completely different than the dirt and hill trails. It was much easier to get stuck on the loose sand. Seen plenty of 4x4's there getting towed out from the dunes lol!

Cleaning all the sand off was much harder as well. Took the JK to the power washer but the next day I noticed there was alot of sand still left. Never had this issue before with dirt and mud. I still see sand in the cracks, in side the fenders, etc. Time to power wash it again or borrow a air compressor and blast it off lol!

But overall I had a great time out there. Will I do it again? Possibly...But if I had a choice I would prefer the dirt trails.

Sand sucks, and I suck at driving in it. I almost always get stuck in sand and look like an idiot on the beach.

If anyone got stuck then tires are too narrow, too much air pressure, people slamming brakes (piles sand up in front of tire, use brakes to a crawl then let the sand stop you), or spinning tires too much.

Ive driven my jk on sand so soft that i could barely even walk on 2 wheel drive..... i also have 12.5 inch wide tires and ran 12psi.....
