Top down overnight

Prob a pretty stupid question but I'm thinking of just leaving my top down overnight tonight (outside, no garage) and it'll drop to the low 50s.

Assuming dew builds up overnight, should I be concerned about that at all? Sorry if this is a lame question but I haven't left the top down all night before so just checking!

It's January. I hate you.

No, it won't, in my experience at least, hurt anything.

Dew will slake a Jeep's natural thirst.

It's 7º here, and snowing. Wish I could go topless.

We live opposite coast of you in Jax. My neighbor puts a tarp on his every night since we are close to the coast. I would like to know this as well though, I haven't left mine uncovered overnight either. I would imagine it wouldn't be too pleasant driving to work the next morning if dew set in.

Only if you don't mind sitting on a wet seat and theft isn't a problem.

Snow on its way here and you're topless! So wrong...

Anyway, I've done it many times & the biggest hassle is if it's really dewy it makes a mess of the windshield on the inside. Easy enough to fix, but I hate washing windows!

But you're fine...

My sister use to leave the top of her Jeep overnight and it was OK. We lived in Downey, CA (not far from the beach) and got dew every morning.

Over the summer I leave my top down overnight for weeks at a time, no problem. Just take a towel out in the am and wipe your seat down

4" of snow on the ground, still falling.

Although, that leads to a whole other kind of fun.

As much as I'd love to be topless, I wouldn't trade it for the fun I'm gonna have workin' my new wheels tomorrow in the snow. So were even.

The biggest issue I've had leaving my top down overnight was in the summer, there was a nice new yellow color on everything from all the pollen falling into it. Now I'll just throw up the top and clamp it at the windshield but leave everything else detached. Takes 30 seconds and saves me from having to wipe all the pollen out.

And pollen will feed it.

I have a hard top and live near the beach which means marine layer over night all summer, so I'm thinking about something like this:

It's hungry, yes.

Small edible things would do well to flee.

Just throw a large towel over the front portion of the cab, it will keep the dew off everything important, if you are worried.

I leave mine off all the time in south florida. As far as hurting anything, dont think so, since the dew will form on the exposed surfaces. Not enough will get into the electronics to really do any harm. You will have a wet seat tho so theres that problem, I have waterproof seat covers and a chamois handy at all times. As far as my experiences go, no worries! enjoy

The Bestop trail cover is great. I used mine every night before I had a garage. It's much easier and quicker than putting the soft top up and doors back on.

I am looking at the cab cover from BesTops. I don't worry about the Dew so much, but I live in east TN and thunderstorms come from out of no where here in the summer and I want something quick to put on, just in case!

I've only ever used mine with the doors off, but you could always turn the mirrors in.

I had the tarp of an old pop up tent in my shed and put it on overnight last night. Fit like a glove. I still put a towel over my seat and the dash in case it rains and it starts to leak.
