Top leaked - Replaced - New top leaks

Have had my Jeep six weeks. 5 trips to dealer for water leaks. Original soft top and door seals leaked. Replaced soft top 6 days ago. New top leaked. Dealer called this morning and said new top was leaking in two places and would start leaking in a third place where they forgot to install a tape seal. Will take a week to get new top and install it. So 5 trips to dealer for leaks. Two tops. Multiple days without vehicle. More miles driven taking vehicle to dealer than for other trips combined. Have lemon law attorney working on case.

Sounds like you have it all covered. Sorry that it had to come to this.

Someone else in here had the same issues and Jeep bought the Jeep back and he got a brand new one. Cannot remember the details but sounds like the same situation.

I read about that. Sounds like they offered him a settlement and he traded for another jeep. I am out processing fee, sales tax and depreciation so a settlement would have to cover that for me to be interested. Some may wonder why I include the processing fee and taxes. But I intended to keep the vehicle, not get rid of it, so I would need to recoup that expense. We will see how it goes. I dont expect a quick resolution.

I wonder what would cause a top to leak in such a way where not even the dealer can figure out a fix? Frame/Tub not square?

I've had the pressure sensitive adhesive gaskets fall off on really hot days. Just stuck 'em back on, not a big deal. Like a front loading washing machine I'd imagine the mating surfaces will get dirty with time and leak until they are cleaned.
