Nest up inside? Or will I be cool? I know it's a silly question but don't wanna wake up to a swarm of bugs in my jeep and tops gonna come down second I wake up anyone have experience with this ? I was thinking about putting a sheet over it as a cover any thoughts?

What I would do in your situation is to get a 500 watt halogen work light and set it in the floorboard if your jeep plugged in all night long, that's sure to keep em away.

I wouldn't do that most bugs are attracted to light like that. Plus the heat from that light could start a fire ESP in the floorboard of the jeep. Personally I wouldn't really worry to much about the bugs you should be ok. 

Mosquitoes seem to set up shop overnight. They never bite but when i start it up in the morning I get swarmed which is really annoying, then I spend the rest of my drive trying to flush the last of them out. Other than that I've never had a problem with nesting bugs.

Just throw a tarp/car cover/or trail cover over it at night. Bugs love Jeeps almost as much as me. I picked up a small car cover off a friend real cheap and put it on my Jeep backwards. I found the front covers the spare tire and locks it on while the rear just fits over the windshield and hook it over the mirrors and it is set.

In Orient Long Island myself. I spent most of every summer out here, the only thing you have to worry about are spiders and pincher bugs (earwigs). All other bugs will be in and out and as long as you don't get any standing water or park it in high grass you will be fine. Don't have my top on now and don't plan on putting it on until it looks like rain. Enjoy the south shore and your jeep.

Hubby is so good to me that he parks the JK outside topless every day, so my girl can stay snuggly in the garage... Unless it's raining, then we trade spots, since I have a trail cover.

I keep my top down most the summer. Never any major problems with bugs. Currently down the shore and the biggest problem I have is the mosquitoes while driving. But no big deal.

You know, when you are driving, the wheels on the jeep go round and round. The skeeters shouldn't be able to keep up..........what you are describing is parking.........now....there is a whole nother set of issues... ...sometimes all rolled up into one!

Haha sadly when I'm out in the boonies and the speed limit is like 15 I still get bit while driving. Stupid bugs.

Ok, So I wasn't topless but all the windows were out with my jeep sitting next to the water in San Diego. People described a large black ball flying along the shore. It took a turn and headed right for, yes you got it, my jeep. By the time they found me and I got to the jeep, all I saw was a large mass of bees almost covering 1/4 of the top with a ball of honey bees still swarming around the entire jeep. The bug guy swears this is quite common in the area. I hope not. He took out half a garbage bag full and the little bodies on the ground made an outline of the jeep like a dead body chalk drawing.
