Tough decision to make

Finally got the back ordered parts for the soft top of my 2011 JK. Now to sell the hard top. My plan all along was to buy some wider tires. But man the stock speakers suck. Maybe buy new speakers and wait on wider tires until income tax season. What to do, what to do!

I just changed out my speakers a couple of months ago. I went with Polk (db651/6501 slim) and it made a big difference. All six speakers on amazon came out to $180.

Just changing out the speakers and stuffing them with poly fill has been enough to hold me over till I can decide on a head unit, amp and sub.

Maybe that's a cheap enough alternative for you that won't break the bank for other mods.

I spent months deciding between new wheels and tires and overhauling my stereo system. My wife knows me very well and finally talked me into the wheels. She was right. You can't really do the wheels and tires on an incremental basis like you can with a stereo.

This is on tap for next weekend. As I understand the DB651 do not fit under the factory grills, but the Polk grills (which look better anyway) work fine. You can also sacrifice the OEM speakers to make your own mounting bracket.

What kind of harness adapter do the polks need? I read here that the infinity 6032si can use the Metra harness, same for the Polks?
