Towing my Wrangler with my 2017 Ridgeline

My new Honda Ridgeline has AWD and is rated at 5,000 lbs. for towing. On the Ridgeline Forum the owner of Ridgelines tow travel traliers in the 24-27 foot range with no problems, so I was just wondering about towing a 2dr Wrangler. I have towed my 12ft. utility trailer with my Polaris Crew Ranger on it and all works very well, the Polaris is around 1,800 lbs. plus the trailer weight.
Second question is, would I want to go with the 6-speed manual or the automatic, since I've never towed a vehicle before, does one due better then the other when towing. My Wrangles will be pretty much stock, no rock crawler, etc., it will just be for the wife and I to go off-road for pleasure riding.
Last, does the Wrangler track well when pulling with stock tires, or does the more off-road tire change the tracking when being pulled. Like I said, I've only pulled a travel trailer and utility trailers before with Chevrolet trucks.
Any info of towing a Wrangler would be appreciated, thanks.
