TPMS question regarding tire size change

Im running stock 2012 JK sahara 255/70/18 (32 inch tire) and considering a slightly smaller 255/65/18 (31 inch) tire because I am only 5' 1" and would like to be slightly lower for exiting the jeep. (I know it is only one inch smaller but it does make a difference in heels or a dress, etc.) Will this tire size change affect the TPMS system? I don't want to make a change that will engage sensors or become complicated. Thank you and I hope this makes sense. It probably sounds like a girl question because it is. :)

As long as the recommended tire pressure for your new tires is in line with what the pressure used to keep the sensors from triggering the light, you should be fine. However, wouldn't it be better to put a side step on the jeep that will help you climb in and out then to reduce the tire size. For each 1" tire size reduction, you only get 1/2 inch of overall vehicle height reduction. Will 1/2 inch make a difference?

Another option, get taller heels that allow you to climb in easier <joke>

Thank you Justin. Climbing out is the challenge. I basically do the "slide" out method. I fall maybe about 2 inches before my feet touch the ground. Its a little embarrassing. I already have side step. It helps getting in, but not so much getting out. A slightly smaller tire may not make enough difference. Just trying to check options as I approach the need for new tires.

Try AMP steps, a little costly, but they work great. I have a bad knee and getting in n out is no issue. Not like my 48!

Fireball,

I just came home with a Rubicon Hard Rock and it has these very thing rails/steps. I am 5'3, so not much taller than you and didn't think about the heels/dress issue yet but I see that might be an issue since the rail/step is pretty thin. With my luck I will catch my shoe on it and fall on my face.

One thing that did help is the jeep came with Velcro hand rails that go on the roll bar. They are pretty crappy and I will order a better set, however holding that I can slide down while holding on. It will sure help prevent the 'drop'.
