Tpms sensors

I just bought some 2011 take off wheels and the seller stated he believed the sensors were still in the tires. Is there a way to tell if the sensors are still in the tire without removing the tire from the wheel? If the sensors are still in the tires, are they set for a wheel position or can a mount the wheels in any position? Thanks

You can't tell unless you dismount the tires. If the seller did not dismount the tires from the wheel they should be there. They can go on any position on the vehicle, if not you wouldn't be able to rotate your tires.

Do you have valve stems? Are they black or silver? Silver, they are the TPMS, black rubber is standard. Iirc.
