Trackbar reinstall problems - Help

I just installed my 2.5" coil lift on my JKU. I was unable to get the front trackbar reinstalled. It was like it was "too short" by about 1/2 inch.

There was a new drop back for the rear trackbar but nothing that I could see for the front.

I had to leave the garage where I was working on the JK and drove back home about 20 MPH for about 3 miles.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

You only have to loosen the TB bolts not remove them, unless your changing the bolts. Anyway, take a friend or a ratchet strap is best. Loop it around the side of the frame you need the axle to move towards, then loop it around the axle at some point where it won't slip. Ratchet it slowly and you will see the gap between the tb and the mounting hole begin to shrink. You don't need to lift the vehicle to do this.

^ This.

You can also have a friend push or lean on the jeep while your under it to align the holes. Very simple, only takes about 5 minutes.

If you tried to install the tracbar while it was on the jacks, it's way more difficult.
With the jeep off the jacks, (assuming you have the entire tracbar off) bolt the tracbar in differential bracket (passenger side). Now line up the end of the bar to the frame bracket and have a buddy push on the driver side fender/quarter panel, the tracbar should line right up to put the bolt in. I did a 2.5 lift and had no problem at all getting the tracbar bolted back into the bracket. It just took a little shove.
Good luck
