Traction Control Shutoff on the '13's???

I tried searching but I've yet to find an answer, has anyone figured out how to shutoff the damned traction control in 2wd?? We're getting (possibly) 2-3 feet of snow here in southern NH and one of mine and my sons favorite pasttimes is doing donuts in the snow in empty parking lots and the TC is a real kill joy!

The button on the dash where the heated seat buttons, 12v Tec buttons are. It looks like a car with kid marks behind it .

You can't totally shut it off with that button.

That will let your tires spin but there is still something that detects the vehicle drifting and takes over.

I am also currious. It drives me crazy when the computer kicks in and applies the brakes.

Based on what I have read you cannot turn it completely off on 2012 and up without a programmer such as the new Trinity. Prior there were button tricks that would turn it all the way off but those have been defeated in the newer models.

Takes about 5 minutes with my trinity to completely disable it all for a donut run!! ESP, ABS, the whole nine yards.

Search for an ESP off button. I did one on my 2012. It kills the ESP, and ABS. Donuts are no problem now. I just picked up my console in the rear, and wired a switch into the power wire on accelerameter. I think it was the purple wire with the blue stripe. I put the on/off button next to the hand brake. You can turn it off any time. To turn it back on just flip the switch, and restart the Jeep. It does turn on the ABS, and loss of traction light.

To be clear he means the ESP off mod where you place a toggle switch in the power wire to the unit under the console that controls the ESP system. Did it on my Challenger. Works good but your dealer wont like it. Lol.

I believe in 2WD that switch has two "offs" One is a simple push, one is holding the button down for a few seconds. Is that not correct?

Not on the 2012 and up as i understand it. I know it doesn't work on my 2012 JKU. Ive tried it many times prior.

Some dealers dont like synthetic oil too LOL...I'm a mechanic, I do my own repairs except warranty covered stuff...I havnt looked at the wiring yet, but I'll bet I can use factory style (Usually wetherpack) connectors and make a "plug in" switch to do the same thing and be able to put it back to stock without any indication....That said there is nothing shutting off the ABS or TC temporarily will damage.

Well shoot, you're right. I just went out and tried it on my 2013. Although I believe as stated above holding it down for like 5 seconds kills everything but ABS. Even in 2wd.
