Trail Cover or Emergency Top

Hello all,

I'm receiving my 2012 2 dr Sahara tonight

My hope is to pull the top of tonight and leave it off the rest of the week, since the weather report is looking pretty clear. However, I want to either put a trail cover or emergency top on it at night.

Any suggestions between the two? I'm looking to obviously keep water out if it were to rain, and to also keep dew out.

I understand that you can "drive slowly" with the emergency top on, although I'm not overly concerned about that.

The added bonus of the emergency top would be if I happen to get stuck out in the rain, I could throw it on long enough to get to a parking garage etc.

Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated.

Check out the Bestop Trail Cover. It's supposed to be one of the best out there. It's not considered an emergency top, so you can't drive with it on, but is perfect for leaving your Jeep parked. I'm going to get one eventually.

So it's been, and shall be weighed: though many are born, few are "made". Faithful Always, they shall remain, dogs to loose when war is waged.

Trail covers are a definite "must have" if you want a topless Jeep and must park outside, IMO. Love mine.

We got the Pavement Ends emergency top that seems to be one of the tops intended to allow driving - as compared to many that are just to keep you dry till the rain passes. See the thread for discussion.
