Tree Fell Our driveway and my jeep.

Woke up to a heavy wind then a crash around 3am, Tree fell in my driveway took out all the vehicles, cant tell but it looks like my jeep suffered a fender, bumper, light, hardtop is damaged and looks like my paint is ruined on the drivers side.

Dads Audi is most definitely totaled, brothers jeep looks relatively unscathed, may need a new hood. Moms Yukon unsure of damage.

will post pics/updates when I get a chance....UGH!

It could be worse, we could have lost everything like those poor folks in the Midwest where my thoughts and prayers go out to.

Anyone been through this before, any advice?

Oh man that sucks! I always joke that I'm going to stick my hood out of the garage if it hails so I can get a power dome hood but this is a little extreme. Good luck getting everything fixed/replaced. Hope you have good insurance.

Ahhhhh no way! I'm sorry to hear this man. I'm glad nobody was hurt. I know it's hard to see a bright side but maybe you could get some upgrades out of the deal. In most cases aftermarket will be cheaper than oem parts. Insurance companies usually jump on that.

Good luck man. I'll check back in as you update.

Aw dude, that really bites! I mean, it's great that it didn't land on your house or on you, but still... that really sucks. I can't imagine what your stomach felt like when you went outside.

I'm in SE Wisconsin, and I think we must've just missed the worst of that storm. Had a tornado warning for about an hour, but no sightings. Still... heck of a storm even here.

Branman's right, though... you can go make some lemonade with the "repairs."

3Ped - so sorry to hear that. As bad as it is, at least no one was hurt. Hang in there. On the bright side - Branman is 100% right and kudos to him for pointing that out. Good luck, Jeep brother.

Thanks guys! I see on the news what everyone in the mid-west is dealing with and this is just stupid petty and cannot get upset about it. All of us are safe and we still have a roof over our head and that's all that matters.

Just wanted to give an update on the driveway incident:

My Jeep Made it through with a punctured hardtop, broken fender, rear left tail light, 3rd brake light and minor paint damage, my detailer confirmed that he should have no problem getting them out and the special coating he applied no doubt saved my paint from more serious damage, most of the scratches are just in the opticoat. Huge relief because i did not want a body shop re-do on a month old jeep.

Dads audi A6 is most likely totaled insurance wants another adjuster to verify (unibodys!) if it was going to be totaled i would have liked it to of been photo worthy, but it landed on the side and the drivers side front pilar took the entire brunt of the tree. it is incredible how well these audis are put together, for the 1,000's of pounds of weight it took it doesnt look like there is much damage. First adjuster said that more then likely that the frame is bent though and since the pilar is an integral part of the entire vehicle structure it will never be right, it did what it was suposed todo (in a catastrophic wreck) to transfer the energy around the passenger cabin and through the frame. Also confirmed that left front axel was bent and the magnetic ride shock was blown.

Moms Yukon has 7,000 dollars worth of damage, its worth 8 likely to be totaled

Brothers Gecko made it through, punctured hood...likely getting a 10A hood out of it!

Ill post pictures as soon as my photobucket account lets me upload!

Thankful nobody was hurt and house was not damaged.

That was one massive storm. We even got walloped here in Ontario last night, lots of power outages and downed trees. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like with a tornado thrown into the mix. Glad all are well.

3pedalmini, I am so sorry to hear the bad news. I had four severe storm warnings from the Weather Channel on my phone last night about 3am. I heard when i woke that Monmouth County and other areas of NJ were hit pretty hard. I am happy to hear that family is safe. We can always replace vehicles, but not our loved ones. Hey, maybe you were meant to get that Premium soft top after all. We are a Jeep family, and you are one of our own. If there is anything that I can do to help, I am here for you, just say the word.
