From FB, it says it blocks 92.5% of sun. That's better than SWS or anyone. I just bought my SWS and gonna preorder and then sell my SWS if the quality is anywhere near their seats.

Yeah, I saw that. I just don't want it to block too much sunlight. Too much blockage and it might as well be a bikini top.

The Spiderweb is a good compromise between blocking UV rays and still allowing light in and giving an open air feeling, IMO. Hopefully, the TA shade is similar.

I just ordered the shade with no pockets or anything. This is the type of shade I have wanted from the get go. I live SWS, but it has its faults. I don't want to discuss the price I received. Just go and try to preorder and see what the price is.

"..blocks 92.5% of sun.."

that's the standard spec for Phifertex . Obviously spider and dirty dog rounded down. Bit disingenuous for this new comer to tout the exact same fabric as 'the leader industry standard..whatever' by simply spelling out the exact spec.

Regardless, even that is not enough sun protection imo. I double'd up with that spec + the lower spec on top of it for the prefect blend. Another note is black absorbs 100% UV, changing the colors reflects it. So if you get anything other than black, expect some mild(der) tanning/burning.

I sure hope they get these out before end of July. Even though it is getting way too hot and humid to really enjoy the top off for me. Can't wait for Sept-November here in Dallas!!

has anyone taken delivery on these yet? I'm having trouble finding some good pictures of the shade installed. Pictures on trek armor's site are all too close up.

I sent Mitch an email this morning asking about the production status. I placed my pre-order a couple of weeks ago and their website says that they would begin shipping in mid-july so I'm guessing that they would start shipping next week.

I will give it until August 1st before I move on to a SWS again. I'm sure we all should hear something soon though.

I talked to Mitch yesterday. He said that they were planning on shipping them out this week and told me that he sent my info to the production dept. and they would contact me today with a status update. I haven't heard anything from them as of yet.

Other than losing out on using it during these really hot days, the only real rush I have is getting it before my big trip in mid-Aug. if I don't have it by then I would be annoyed.

It would be nice if Mitch posted on here if he is experiencing shipping issues. His service is great if you call him, but if you don't I somewhat question it. I know he is slammed but customer service is not waiting to do the right thing when the customer calls but doing the right thing throughout the order process.

When I bought my front Trek Armor covers I never got order confirmation. I called after 3 weeks and some lady said mine were going out tomorrow. Two weeks later still no seat covers. I called and talked to Mitch and they were shipped out the next day. Now that being said the drivers side cover was not a perfect match for where the seat up/down lever is and Mitch sent out a new seat cover out the next day. Great service and fixed the problem. He also said that they never have delays that long. I finally ordered the covers for the back seats and it took 8 weeks..no issues on installing those but never was told there would be delays or problems with shipping. I love the product and think it is by far the best seat cover on the market for the JK. I also cant wait to get the TA sun shade. I would like to see better communication between Trek Armor the Jeep community...

I by no means am bashing Trek Armor. I still strongly believe in the product, but I would like to see improvement in communication with customers.

I ordered mine the first day they took pre orders and haven't heard one thing since. Supposed to ship out mid July. Past that now. Based on my dealings with TA they will get them out as soon as they can.
