Installed the seat cover on 2014 JK 2dr front seats.
After pulling the top part all the way down, sit for a few days for stretching, the velcro of the top part can not bond to each other.
They supposed to wrap over the flap of the original seat and now its not. still quite some distance before they can reach each other. AT least 5cm
did I can a defective product?

Odd. Mine aren't like that. There isn't any Velcro at the bottom of the back part.

I looked at mine. Maybe they changed the design. I've had mine a few years. There is a flap for the top that goes through the gap and folds downward.

I don't have any Velcro at the bottom of the back like you do.

I had to pull my flap with vice grips. Just get it to catch on one corner then do it to the other corner. After it's like that for a few days, you should be able to pull it a little farther, one corner at a time. Eventually they will loosen up enough to secure well all the way across.

Not according to TrekArmor/Bartact (or whatever they're calling themselves theses days)..

I have the same issue with my leather seats (seems to be just a problem with leather) & was told to 'tuck up the exposed leather' to attach the velcro, but I can't get it to reach/attach no matter what..

I was basically told to 'suk it up & deal with it'.. I luv these seat covers otherwise, so that's what I'm doing..
It would be a real standup gesture if this company either advised owners of leather seats of this fitment issue, or provided an extension piece for proper fit..

(Just my experience/opinion fanboys, no need to flame..)

They fit the cloth seats the same way. I think the difference being that the cloth is easier to fold up. I had to pull extremely hard with vice grips and simultaneously pull down on the seat back to get it to even touch at the corners. The folding of the skirt came later.

Thanks for all the inputs.
It is Impossible to pull further. Vice Grips is used to pull a bit more, but the gap is too big.
I emailed Trek Armor, they asked me to pull, and after I sent the photo to them to show the max pull, haven't heard back since then (3 days ago)
The thing is I usually have people going to my back seat and I want the cover to protect the "uncovered" leather......

If anyone has this issue, please let us know. We have come to realize Jeep has slight variations on front seat height on the new models, and we have created a fix for any of you who may encounter the same situation with our covers, and have sent out a couple sets previously. It's basically a flap extension that we can make to match your seat covers.
ASE Mastertech, We have never told anyone to just deal with a problem regarding our seat covers, and have corrected any problems customers have ever had. That is why we have ZERO returns after sending out over 7,000 sets. If you contact us about an issue, instead of just saying you were told that, we would figure out a solution as we have done with EVERY other customer with an issue. Just contact us at 951-319-4008, or orders@trekarmor.com. Your comment above to 'suk it up & deal with it' is 100% false. This is becoming a recurring theme with you, and I am STILL waiting for you to contact us about a previous issue you supposedly had a couple months ago...

Thanks,

Mitch

OrangeJeepGuy, There's no one who wants to air bag compatibility finished as much as I do. There are just a lot more variables that we have to deal with than we originally anticipated. Trust me, we are doing everything we can so testing can get underway before the end of the year. I apologize for the wait!

It seems as though Trek Armor has quite an interest in customer service after all. Enough interest to sign on to Forum and address an issue publicly. I don't see too many companies doing that these days. It also sounds like a pretty straight forward and simple fix.

After reading dozens of threads on trek armor covers I am sure these are the ones I want. My biggest issue is the website. I've seen a bunch of pictures on Google images so I have an idea of what I want but when I went to order I did not feel confident that I was going to order what I wanted. I'm sure more pictures of the different designs/colors would have been helpful as I am more of a visual person. I read that forum members can get a small discount. Is this correct?

You will get a discount. Email Mitch directly. If you know which colors you are interested in, he will send you swatches of the material in those colors so that you can make an informed decision. Depending on how custom you go, he may have some already made up (happened for me, went all OD green) or it will take some time to get them made and shipped. Don't rush it. Get the swatches and get what you want.

I think I'm just going to go with a solid black cover. Do you know if there is more than one option when it comes to black covers? Do you have a email address for Mitch? Or do I just mail the company email on the website? Thank you for your response.

Just a helpful hint- I have a good quality flat metal spatula. (Plastic is probably fine too but it can't be bendable.) I used it to push the fabric through from the front. Just kind of fold the Velcro/cloth around it at the tip and push it thru the back. Much easier than trying to grab it from behind with pliers. Or trying to shove thru with your hands.

I bought a set for the back and am not impressed with fit at all. I ordered Wet Okole's for the front. I've had 2 sets on other cars and they fit like factory and hold up for years. Buying Trek's was like getting married....both seemed like good ideas at the time. I've never seen a set of Trek's that didn't look like seat covers.
