Trektop / Safari Straps combo

Anybody have experience with the combination of Safari Straps (the long cage extended for JKU) and a Bestop Trektop NX?

I'm trying to find out if I'll be able to use the Trektop and the SS at the same time...the straps work with the Sunrider soft top, but the Trektop comes with a separate tailgate bar / retaining clips and add-on door surrounds.

I'm running an extended Warrior Net and an Offroad Heroes soft top using a bestop bar and it's fine, the net clips into the Bestop bar. My top is pretty close to how the Trektop works.

I think you will be fine, can you post a close up picture of how your Trektop secures to the bar?

EAD Offroad is an authorized Safari Straps distributor so I'll call Maral over there tomorrow for you and see if they have first hand experience.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have the Trektop yet, though...didn't wanna order it till I was sure it would work with the SS (which I do have). From the Trektop installation directions it LOOKS like both will work, but just wanted to be sure. I'm guessing that the tailgate bar / retaining clips are similar to the OE version that comes with the Sunrider. I'm more concerned about the Trektop tensioning bow and add-on door surrounds, and the possibility that they might interfere with the SS.

I have an e-mail into Hatch and Maral at Safari Straps and one into Bestop.

I'm about 95% sure they'll work together...just thought I'd double-check before I shell out 50,000 pennies for the Trektop.

To add to my post, you will need that bar that comes with the Trecktop for the Warrior Extended net anyway. That's how the extend works. Here is a pic I just took of mine.

Try looking on Bestop site, they have a lot of close up pictures. It looks to me like nothing touches the roll bars where the Warrior straps attach. Trektop NX

Yeah, I've been eyeballing it. And the downloadable directions, etc. And I really don't think the add-on door surrounds would cause a problem...I'm just overly thorough about checking stuff.

Send me a PM, if you don't mind. I've found a pretty low price, but if you can match it or do better, you da man.

And I'll probably still wait till I hear from Hatch & Maral, see if they can at least confirm that everything'll work...

Thanks for the replies!

Kbwwolf - have you managed to put this tandem together? I too am ready to pull the trigger (on both the safari straps and the Trektop NX), but having never dealt with either, am somewhat nervous. Am hoping that this is a "seamless" process?
