I checked everywhere. Nobody was cheaper. I don't believe in price-matching- in general. If DFS is cheaper than Quadratec or Rebel, there is no need for me to price-match. DFS is cheaper to begin with and I bought for them. Why support others who have higher prices to begin with...my logic anyway.

I assume you all compared the JW Speakers as well when buying. What swayed you towards the Truck-Lite's? Price? Anything else?

Beam pattern....seems like the TLs has better side-spill light and as much reach. That was primarily my reason...not price. The JWs are great though, and probably higher quality- especially in the details. I just liked the beam pattern of the TLs in every picture I compared. If not the TLs, I'd probably have gone with pricey HIDs.

Pricey they are, thanks for your thoughts.

$419 with the harness and the 5% off.
Not bad.
Is that the greatest coupon code they have?

I ordered from quadratec, I don't mind paying a few bucks more for the better customer service.

JW have better forward facing, TL have better spill in comparison to sum it up in a sentence.

Price, you can get TL + Rigid duallys for the price of a set of JWs

Those Rigid Dually are insane. Would be nice to have a backlit (gently lit) switch close to the left hand to switch those monsters off for oncoming traffic, though I would still want to use them offroad or on those twisty dark rural highways where there isn't much traffic.

A good point, the D2's are sweet, a friend has them. I don't know how often I would use them though. If I can get a decent price on the JW's, I will probably snag them up, but from further research, I am sure either headlight will perform really well.

I appreciate all of your info.

Does anyone know if the D2's are plug n play?

Or will you have to cut wires to install?

Just looked at the Rigid site and it says Plug & Play.

Interesting...very interesting.

Might be time to change out the LED Bulbs in the fogs lights for the real deals.

They are plug and play. You only have to cut them if you are using an sPod. Great lights BTW.

Why would you have these connected to an spod since they replace the factory headlights?

I've had the Truck lites since October. It's the best mod I've done. Everyone seems to complain about flicker. I don't notice any. I didn't get anything special, just their harness so that it all clicked together. I did it with my 14 yo son helping (hindering) me. It took about 20 minutes. One drawback is that they don't generate heat. On snowy days, you will have to brush them off. It won't melt. I was driving home one night and the only light was from my factory fogs. I didn't realize how dark it was til I got home and saw that my lights were totally covered. Just FYI. But it's a great $400ish investment

You're missing another conversation in the thread on Rigid Industries D2 lights.

FWIW, Rebeloffroad would not even match DFS's price. I am not sure if Quadratec would but I have not received the best CS from Quadratec either. The couple of times I had issues, they hardly responded or never responded to PMs here on WF. They respond very quickly when I need to order something though. I have heard good things about DFS, so went with them. I'd still use QT but only for really small stuff. Plus I now have a local guy who beats QT's prices...just not on the TLs since he is not a dealer.

Good to know. I replaced my stock fog bulbs with Cree LED bulbs but I want more output. The Cree LED's are better but could be improved.

We don't have much wet snow here but you make a good point. It's a good idea to check your LED headlights when you check your crappy JK wipers that keep freezing up. Keeping it well-waxed may help too. LEDs do produce a lot of heat but it goes through the heatsink.

I've noticed the same with wet snow. It's a pain, but everything has its trade offs.

I've seen pictures of the military's Fuel Efficient Ground Vehicle Demonstrator, and it has trucklites with what appears to be a wire mesh overlay. I can't find any information, but I've wondered if it was a heating element.

I seriously doubt it, as most Mil vehicles with mesh on the lamps are for protection of the headlights. Cold climate operations are slim.

Mentioned earlier, snow is my greatest concern when it comes to LED lighting. Since I live in a state that ice stays put for more than summer

Yes, you have some serious considerations to make being in AK! Dealing with the snow I imagine is a minor concern in trade for the scenery. Jealous!

I get mine on Monday. Once I get them in, I will see what's lacking, and possibly put in some driving lights on the bumper or the fog location.

So these are plug and play, but you have to adjust them as well? Is there a video or something showing the adjustment? I was thinking about the JW speakers, but those are expensive and if these are just as good, I may as well get them.
