TSB 23-027-11 soft top bow shields

Anyone know where i can print out or download a PDF file for this soft top TSB 23-027-11.

I had complained to my dealer about fabric wear in June caused by the bow hinges. They said nothing they can do until there is an actual hole in the fabric....well go figure....a TBS for the same issue.

I have googled but no luck.

Thanks!

Mike

Did you see this other thread on JK-Forum? Looks like they might have the document you're looking for there.

I had my 2010 in for an oil change last week and this came up in the computer. I'm bringing it back in on Saturday for this.

I dropped my Jeep off at 7:30 on Saturday and at noon the service manager called to say that the RRT was upgraded to a fulblown recall on Friday 8/26. Jeep took down all the RRT information off Dealer Connect and had yet to put up any recall information. So nothing was done to my Jeep.

Recall on this issue is L-24. Chrysler said dealers were informed on August 26 and letters will go out Week of August 29. Tops to be inspected and bow shields installed. I was told any tops with excessive wear shall be replaced. (Who defines excessive?)

My soft top being replaced, only about 8,000kms and 4 months on my 2011

I can see a pin hole of light through the soft top and there wear marks. They said because Chrysler already indicated there is a problem they are just going to replace the top, i am very happy they aren't just patching the top.

No replacement for me. Four small pieces of plastic and four zip ties. I'm curious how they will look when I drop the sunrider top tomorrow morning.

So you did not have excessive wear or any pin holes?

Nope, no wear at all. Not surprising to me. I bought the Jeep last September and used it for a little over a month before I put the hard-top on. It's been on since April of this year, so really it's only had about 8 months of use.

My soft top only had 3 months worth of use before it showed damage

Thanks for posting this thread!

I haven't received the notice yet, but just pulled up the Jeep Owners page & it is listed for my VIN. Guess I'll be making an appointment to get her looked at.

So the dealer finally got all the parts in and installed my new recalled softop.
I picked it up that rainy night and the drive home was LOUD.

So it is going back , again, on Monday because the header seal plate is bowed.

Is workmanship pride a lost concept?? Does anyone care what they put their name on anymore? How about taking the truck out for a quick test run to make sure, ya know, everything is correct!

I envy all those that have these mysterious and elusive competent and caring Dealerships in your part of the woods.

look at the pic and tell me if I am being to harsh.
