Have two questions for you experienced users from having the jeep for a day now. Plus I still need to still get the owners manual since the dealer only gave me the user guide.

1) is it normal for the a/c to turn on automatically every time you start the jeep? I'll shut the a/c off and not have the blower setting to auto ( I do have the extra auto temp control) but on a set speed. I'll shut the jeep off, then turn it on and the a/c light is on again.

2) on the 730n NAV system, the screen is not dimming at night. When you hit menu > then display settings you have three options. Daytime, auto, nighttime. Daytime and nighttime look totally different when selected directly but when on auto it is staying on daytime only? I wanted to see if anyone else is having this problem. It looks simple enough to select which one but I must be doing something wrong.

Haha. It's going to take some time to get out of that habit. Noted and corrected.

Just some guesses....

Do you have remote start and climate control? I think there is a thread about some issues with AC and remote start. Also...someone on this forum (or maybe it was another one) was a tech and had stated that they had seen quite a few problems with the climat controls.

Is the auto-dim connected to the headlights? Headlights on = less dim and vice versa?

I think I figured this out. I guess I posted too soon

On the dimmer control the furthest setting turns the overhead light on, the next setting i don't know what it does but it will not allow the NAV system to auto dim.

I didn't notice there are two auto settings, one on the blower and one on the mode setting. I had changed the blower setting but not the mode one.

Oh well you live you learn. Thanks for your help
