Two Questions, tow pkg & Rear sub

I bought a 2009 JK 2-door used with 6k miles on it. It has the tow pkg listed on the original window sticker, hitch is there but I don't see the wiring harness? Shouldn't this have been included with a "tow pkg" ?

Second question. Are all the jeeps prewired for the sub in the rear or will I have to run wiring back?

Well......let's try one more. I read that the 5yr/100k warranty on power train is transferable? If this is true is there anything I need to do to register the vehicle in my name or can I simply bring it to a dealer if or when I have a problem?

Thanks

The wiring end on mine fits in a slot on the left side of the reciever. It should be there.

Welcome to the forum!
Both of my 09's also have the tow package. As noted by pdubois64, there is just a little four plug rubber connector on the left side of the receiver. That's all that come with them and there isn't a wiring harness provided for the trailer. I just got the little connector for the trailer at the parts store and followed the simple directions. Other SUV's I've had in the past have come with trailer wiring etc. Not with the Jeeps.

Mine 09's have a lifetime drivetrain warranty. I believe that only goes to the first owner. The remainder of the 3yr, 36 should be good though!
Best of luck to you!

There is no wiring for the sub. Would have to splice in a wire, or order the kit from Mopar. The 5/100 is fully transferable. You don't have to do anything. It stays with the car. Your first visit to a Jeep service department they will add your name to the car if it isn't already done. Jeep now gets most info from state title issues and updates accordingly.
