Uconnect how to start

I have a 2010 JK and I want to know how the uconnect works. I have satellite radio and when I click on the button for the phone on my dash it says it's not connecting uconnect. Am I missing something?

You have to sync your phone to it. Just like a blue tooth ear piece. Check your owner's manuel for all the specifics.

The manual I have says nothing so that's why I'm a little lost on this.
It's not something I have to pay for meaning a service?

Possibly. It depends on the radio. If yoy have the Mygig you only need a microphone. It it's the single CD player, you need a lot more. The search funstion can be quite helpful: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/u-connect-56978.html

Uconnect is standard with the Nav radio. If you have the correct system, the uconnect needs to be paired with the phone.

If you have nav in the 2010, it should be good to go with just pairing your phone. If you don't have nav, you need to buy the uConnect unit and a microphone.

Adding to that if you have the nav radio you can see the mic at the top of the left A pillar.
