Unfanned Vents

I have a 2012 Sport Wrangler 6 speed. Is there any way the vents will operate when the fan isn't in the 'on' position? Do I have to run the fan
to get air out of the vents? Every vehicle I have owned since my 1964
International Scout the vents worked without the use of the electric fan.
It would be nice to have heat coming out of the vents without the fan on. Do they close up when the fan is off?

You want heat, but without the fan being on?

With the fan on, you can heat coffee, fry an egg...

There is no "vent" setting that allows air to flow in while the vehicle is in motion. You'll have to turn the fan on for flow.

In the state of Missouri in December the weather does not permit comfortable driving conditions with either the window rolled down or the removal of the doors. but thank you for your advice.

Man, my vehicles all have the outside air constantly moving through the system, on or off. I wish I could always have it on recirculate to stop it since it annoys the heck out of me.
