Upcoming rebates??

Does it look as though there might be any rebates on Jeeps anywhere in the near future? What are the triggers that make the rebates start? There seems to be a large supply of Jeeps on the lots....just wondering ....how many is TOO many?

Edmunds.com lists all current incentives. It doesn't tell you what's coming next, but it does tell you when the current set expires. If you're shopping, it can be helpful to know just how long you've got on the current set.

I doubt you will see any rebates until the end of the model year, sometime around late spring, early summer. That's the best part of owning a Jeep, no rebates thus higher resale value.

Look at it this way vehicles with rebates are typically worth less at trade in and those without rebates are typically worth more. either way it usually all equals out.

Wait until the 2012's hit the lot and you'll get the best deals you could ever imagine on a 2011.

Seriously JZ . . . .

I just looked over your posts and, with limited exception, the 2012 is all you write about. You've got dozens of posts about how you're waiting, how the 2012 is going to have the "perfect engine," how the current Jeeps are "slugs," and on and on and on. Now you've branched out from the upgraded engine itself into the field of prognosticative economics, and announced Chrysler will provide the "best deals you could ever imagine" on 2011s coming in the wake of the 2012.

I hope the 2012 is everything you imagine it's going to be, I really do. It's just getting a little . . . tiresome.

While some may want to wait for something that may or may not happen, I am having a great time in my Jeep with a big smile every time I get in it.

Would knowing the plant that builds the 3.8 liter v6 is closing for good May 2011 help put an end to all of the talk?

I'm not lacking for smiles. We have a TJ now, and love it. And I'll be keeping it.....and we have 3 other vehicles (just my wife and I), so we're not lacking for something to drive. I just LOVE that new car smell. I just would hate to pay 33K for one now that will be 31K in the next few months.

Thanks for the input, Pat. That was a good point, but I do know that rebates sometimes do happen.
