Could be what you said or could be Chrysler figures they have a handle on the problem and eventually all the bad heads will get replaced.

If it continues long enough, I wouldn't be surprised if it does make the media.

when mine was at its worst, yep. with the windows up and at speed. it sounded like a fluttering almost driving along. Though there's a lot less noise insulation with the soft top.

Sorry guys. Long day. When I was in with my 12 getting the heads, there was a 13 in there also with the engine torn up getting the head replaced. The 13 had the ab head initially. 400 miles and had a CEL for misfire.

I'm sorry, but that's all I know.

Mine's in the shop right now presumably getting the AC head(s). It better resolve the issue. I am going to try and get info on the differences between revisions but everyone has been pretty tight lipped about the issue so far. In my world techs have access to ECN's or engineering changes notices that detail changes to revisions but Chrysler may be different.

I agree with what you're saying but even our resident members are silent. Not comforting, at least to me. I'd be willing to bet they aren't allowed to talk about it, for fear of hurting sales, and their jobs. Once everyone is certain the problem has been resolved, 100%, I'm sure we'll know it.

We should start a new exclusive club for those that have experienced bad heads.

Do you think the badhead club is too suggestive?

Proud member of the bad head club..uh-oh I used member and head in the same sentence. Of course I'm referring to members of wrangler forum and bad cylinder heads...

17 in line...good grief.

I've been waiting almost two weeks with 8 2012 Jeep Wranglers in front of me. They told me last week that they might get me in with 2-3 weeks! Apparently, the service manager said they have just one guy who does these so if it takes 2-3 days each, I might get in by Friday the following week. GAY.

Ford DID NOT take any of the bailout money, pretty well documented, kudos to them :-).

I just figured it out. Obama said "you didn't build business yourself"he was talking about govt motors. We just misunderstood him. It's that whole story telling thing again.

I still love my jeep. I'm dropping her off today so they can hear the steel woodpecker in the morning with the cold start up. I hope they don't tell me it's normal. If so, I've got three year warranty and we know the steel woodpecker only gets bigger.

Untrue actually. While they didn't take the "bail-out" money per-se, they did take a huge loan from the gubment in order to do major retooling. Read more here:
Ford, not GM or Chrysler, got federal loans to retool plants | Ford news | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

This statement is also false. Obama was not just talking about GM. He was speaking of every business who had infrastructure such as roads, electric, etc. leading up to them and then saying if it wasn't for those aformentioned assets, the business would not exist. This is grossly inaccurate since most roads are paid for by Joe Blow taxpayer. Not to mention all of the businesses operating out of their homes, from the internet, whatever were started with money out of the entrepreneurs own pocket. Such as the one "I" cretaed in my signature of soldiertwalls. I had ZERO help from anyone. So YES Mr President, I DID BUILD THAT! Sorry for thread hijack but I fell I must address rumors that I know are false.
