Upgrades? When?

When you buy a new jeep, what is your first mod? Lift, Tires, bumpers/winch? How soon do you start making mods? Immediately, 3 months, 6 months? Just wondering.we bought a new Rubicon in July. We've already put in a Banks Ram air intake. Next will probably be a cat back exhaust. Trying to decide what to do next and when.

1st mod---remove and throw away-cargo area BASE WOOFER

2nd mod---remove decals on sunvisors

3rd mod---"disable" TPMS sys

Then the mods start, based on your finances and DD needs !!

I bought mine on a Saturday. That Monday I ordered wheels and they arrived on Tuesday. I called a buddy that is a tire manager at Firestone and had the Jeep in the shop the following Saturday. Then the following Monday the step rails came off.

On the next payday, I plan to buy either spaces or an Olympic bumper. So I'm hoping to keep adding an upgrade every couple of months.

I did the tow bar first at about a week old (so I could tow the boat and have a rear recovery point)

Then a lift as I kept dragging the belly after about 2 months

Then got rid of the ugly front bar and replaced with an ARB at about 6 months

Then a Steering Damper relocation bracket as the damn thing kept hitting things.

Ever since been fiddling with the lift, adding track bars, extended sway bar links, different springs, different shocks, AEV drop brackets etc..

Next is tyres, its just the price of the damn things down here - 285/70 17's I am looking at around $430 each down here (thats about $450 US each)..

Cheers from Downunder, Dave.
2010 Dark Charcoal Pearl 'Renegade' pack (includes dual top options, 17in alloys, side steps etc).
2.5in Flexy springs, Bilstien 5100's, Teraflex rear trackbar bracket, Synergy front and rear sway bar links and front disco kit, Synergy steering damper relocation bracket, AEV front drop brackets, ARB front and rear bar, 10,000lb rope winch, Britax Xray Vision driving lights, GME 3440 UHF radio.
