Any results on trying to scatter the light?

I went with the cree 5w installed last week and they are brighter. Haven't driven it enough to say if they are adequate for me. They are worth 25 bucks though.

I have these in my JK and they are bright. They are not nearly as bright as those rigids in the above photos, but bright enough to see where I am backing up in pitch black darkness.
Thanks NFRs2000NYC. Ordered these for $25. Just plug and play and they are a great improvement over stock bulbs. Thanks for the link.

They declined my offer for $24.99. Oh well, it was still a great mod at $30. Love mine!

Guess they weren't in a haggling mood that night. No harm, no foul.

Hate to dredge an old thread up, but this seems like the best one to do it in...

Any of you guys had any luck replacing the turn signals/taillights with LEDs? I want to try swapping those out next but I'm worried about hyperflashing. Is there any particular bulb that works? Same goes for the front turn signals.

And what about side markers? I imagine since they aren't blinkers those should be as easy as plug and play, right?

I tried installing 3157 LED's (Turn, reverse, and Tail lights are all 3157's) on the front/rear signal and HyperFlash occurs when used. You will need Load resistors in each bulb. I do have LED's on the side markers and no HyperFlash...Even with the side marker blinker mod.

Got my Projection Cree LED Bulbs and installed them last night. Took all 5 minutes

I should have done this a long time ago. Makes backing up the JK in the dark alot easier.

Where did get those from?

I just installed the back up LEDs I got from krautoled.com. 5 min swap process and they look great. They are definitely brighter than the stock backup lights, but I think I would like them to be even brighter.

Also changed the map lights and the dome light at the same light. They look great too.

I got them off ebay. Thanks Overblown for the link.

The CREE LED and Projection Lens made the biggest difference. No more scattered light.

Anyone try these from Super Bright LEDs? They look more like they would spread out the light instead of just a beam.

Don't waste your money on those for backup lights. They are only 60 lumens.

Stick with the CREE LED's. Much brighter...they use them on tactical flashlights.

Just tried $22.99 for the eBay CREE ones and it was immediately declined. Tried $23.99 and it went through. Now I just need to wait for them to approve. I'm going to up $1 each time the decline to see what they will take lol

They take $24.99. At least they did for me and several others in this thread. One guy got it declined though.

They took $25.99. I guess you can only do that 3 times. I did $22.99 and $23.99 both being declined. I went to go do it again and it said I had one chance left. I figured going up to $25.99 was ok with me.
