Vanity Plates for Your Jeep?

Picked up my 2012 JK 2 weeks ago and I want to get a good vanity plate for it.

Here in New York State you can go on line and enter a plate and it will tell you if it is available. Unfortunately every suggestion I have entered that has JEEP somewhere in the name is taken. I swear there must be a million Jeep owners in NYS, all with vanity plates :laugh:

So I was wonder how many people here have vanity plates and what they say so I can get some new ideas to try on the NYS DMV site. Thanks.

Personally I am not a fan of vanity plates but when I got my Jeep last year I toyed with the idea of getting one. The process to get one in TX is the same and I had to make several attempts before I found something not taken. I ended up not getting one but I was going to go with 2013JKU. Kind of boring but it was available. Much easier if you keep the word Jeep out of it but find something Jeep related.

I've always wanted vanity plates, but never had a vehicle that seemed to warrant them before now. I had fun playing with the plate generator online and finally found one that is perfect and was available. Just keep playing with it until you just know you've got it right. This is mine. Several meanings behind it...love ROCKS!, Jeeps love rocks, it's Rock Lobster in color and I'm naming her Foxy Roxy. Roxie is also my sister's name and I love her. lol Can't wait until they come in. 😁

Texas vanity plates are CRAZY expensive though! I couldn't believe the cost difference between here and Florida... :jawdrop:

They aren't too bad if you buy several years up front. They offer 5 and 10 year deals. I think the 10 year comes out to only $60 a year.

I've thought about having a vanity plate, but with my specialty type of plate it isn't an option. if I did ever get one I was thinking of;

MPG SUX
That's a good one! haha

When I buy a JKU, I'm going to get custom plates that say BTL EATR (Beetle Eater). It's a nod to the fact that my other ride is a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, and also kind of represents the rugged nature of the Wrangler

I am trying to decide on a "star wars" vanity plate for my jeep...

UTINNI
NRFHRDR
THX1138
BBAFETT

are the front runners...
