VDP Stubby Bumper Question

Hello all,

New Wrangler owner here, gearing up to start doing some mods in the next month or so, mostly on the cheap side. A while ago I saw someone mention (different forum I think) that they had installed the VDP stubby bumper kit, and they were having a problem with them rattling too much.

Has anyone else had this problem? if so, what was the workaround you did.

I used to have them too and had no problems with rattling. They are snug and have several plastic rivets to hold them on. Since cutting is involved, maybe the person on the thread you saw cut too much or not enough or lost a rivet or something.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm glad to hear they fit snug, not sure how that guy was having an issue.

I've got the Rough Country stubby bumper kit--it's the same concept but looks a little different. It's been on for a few months now with no rattling.

I am SO GLAD for this thread!! I am going to eventually change out my stock bumper to a Hansen Stinger -- but in the mean time I wanted to get the most out of my stock bumper for a while.

Today -- I went out and bought this kit and this afternoon my husband and I put it on. It looks GREAT!! Thanks for a low cost solution!!
