VDP Stubby End Caps for front bumper

Anybody try these? Know anyone who has? Seen any installed? If so how do they look? Good? Cheap? They shorten your front bumper by 17.5".

I saw a jeep with them at a gas station a couple of weeks ago. Looked great from across the lot but when I got closer the seams looked jagged. I think Ill wait and just spend the money on a new shorty bumper.

I have them too; really happy with them.

Easy to install if you have the tools, and affordable. They're a great alternative if you aren't going to change out your bumper anytime soon.

I was looking at doing these when I put on my winch mount. I want to keep the body and trim looking as stock as possible. Just a Winch, nice lift with 35's. Keep everything else simple.

Here's mine. I like it and it's allowed me to put off a new bumper for a while. I may just add either a light bar or get a winch and just roll with what is there. I just need to pull the air dam off.

I got the rough country one, I liked the lines of it as a finished product compared to this one.

Either way, easy mod. it quickly gives your jeep a different look, on the cheap.

Hate to ask, but does the air dam serve any purpose?

That's about it.

JkPaul,

Mind if I ask the size of your rims and tires? I love the Crank wheels and am doing the same setup with the stubby bumper and light bar. Any lift?

Thanks.

No Prob.
The tires are the stock ones it came with, BFG LT255/75R17, the build sheet classification was 'Big Wheel and Tire Group'.
The stock rims were 17x7. The Cranks are 17x9 with an offset of 0. The 0 offset brings them out a little further providing a wider stance.
No lift as yet but, I may do the 3/4 leveling lift though. I did a 2" lift on my 2010 and while it looked great I don't think it handled quite as well after.
Post some pics when your done.

Cool. Thanks! I did the TF leveling kit(spacers) and have been looking at those wheels forever. Just waiting in the funds to pull the trigger cause I will need tires also since my stock wheels are 18's. I should have the bumper next week sometime. Then it's time to get cutting! Will de post pics when completed.

1Topp,

Isn't the point to make the bumper shorter. It looks like you put the stubby ends over the original bumper and didn't cut it down at all. What's up with that?
