Viper chirping but no siren?

Maybe someone can answer this off the cuff - Viper 5002 Alarm - works great, always has. Recently, arming/disarming produces the usual chirps along with the flashing parking lights. HOWEVER, as of late when you open the door, alarm ON, you simply get 5 chirps and then silence, no siren. I beat on my remote, so maybe I hit programming mode and set it to some other setting?

Anyone seen it?

your getting the warn away only you need to check the programming. I bet you simply need to do the reset. I would take it to a viper dealer and ask them to tweak it. BEstbuy is now a viper dealer so try them. they may charge you like 5 bucks but its a simple fix Im sure.
