voicemail not working on 430N MyGIG?

A buddy of mine just picked up his 10th Anniversary Rubicon and his iPhone paired right in, however; the voicemail function will not work via bluetooth? Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, Is there a fix?

Thanks,

Nick

It's not a problem with the radio, it's a problem with the phone. You also can't use the text message features and probably a lot of other stuff either. It's all because of the way the iPhone handles these things, and as a result, none of it is compatible over bluetooth.

Is he trying to activate it by bluetooth or just listen to it? I know on my 730N, if I open my phone app, and then touch a voicemail it will play over the speakers in the Jeep.

He's trying to listen to a voicemail. The iPhone Is paired just fine, but when he wants to listen to a vm it won't play thru the speakers. The only sound he gets from the phone is when he switches the source from uconnect to iphone.

I have a 2012 and mine works fine. I have an iPhone 5.

As of the V2 built 2011 Chrysler vehicles (built post 6-1-2011 to current) that have the following radios <RES, REQ, RBZ & RHB> do not support:
Visual Voice mail,
SIRI & SIRI supported features,
Voice Memos,
This because of the way that Apple handles an incoming call while in one of these features. If you're in one of these features and receive an incoming call, Apple doesn't send the notification of the incoming call long enough for you to accept the call. If you try to accept it using the Uconnect phone button, Apple drops the feature and also sends the call to your voice mail. Now this leaves you trying to answer a call while also getting upset because you can't take the call.
Because of this, Chrysler decided that it is better to not support them, this way there's no distraction.
Apple doesn't like to work with others, they would rather have everyone conform to them even with their problems.
