The subject of this thread is "Waiting for Dune" because StumpMT, and many of us, was waiting to see what Dune looks like. Now that we all saw real pictures, we are almost all waiting for our own Dune! How cool is that!

By the way, mine should be ship Thursday but at last news, it wasn't in production yet. Pat, Archer? Any good news for me guys?

One is no longer showing the "in transit" icon on the dealer website. I may call or check it out during lunch tomorrow.

Hello everyone, first post here and glad to announce I placed my deposit and order yesterday on a JK unlimited rubicon.

I didn't even know the color had changed from the Sahara tan until they showed me the order sheet and it said dune so I ran to google this color. This thread put me at ease.

Now the waiting game begins!

Stump, I think if you did the grill black instead of grey it would look good.

Dune looks to me to be one of those colors that begs for black accents...much like Sahara Tan does.

X2 Look again at the Sand Trooper concept. The grill was almost black and it looks really nice.

I was planning to do it but I see that everywhere now... Not sure anymore.

I saw this pic when I was reading through the 'cheap guard mod' thread and I really like how it looks. Thinking about doing it to mine. What do you guys/gals think?

Stump, I think the black grille thing is going to be over done, however if you use a vinyl film, it will keep bug damage down to a minimum.

i looks a bit like an obvious backyard project to me...

hard to fend off the mod bug, but i'd spend the effort elsewhere. i've already got a to-do list and parts waiting

7 more days till arrival! i really think its going to look great all painted.

Was the antenna easy to install?

I think it is a little much. doesn't seem to flow as well as it could in my opinion....a little too much black.

I am thinking about getting these inserts for mine, i like the black accents. What do you all think of that?

I've looked at those inserts too. I like those a lot. And in regards to your antenna question...all you do is unscrew the factory antenna and screw in the AntennaX using the supplied adapter.

I say Plasti Dip the grill as desired. You can change it up if you don't like it. I'm thinking about doing clear matte on my Dune. It's cool that you can peel it off and even change the color for a few hundred bucks.

Dune is as bad as Rock Lobster in regards to light and the change in hues...

Maybe it's the flourescent lighting, but I busted out the full "O face" on that one. Definately more tan!

We're having Snowmageddon 2013™ in St. Louis today, so I doubt I will get a chance to see one in person.

Every picture of this color makes me love it! Excatly like mine for the exterior. Thanks David for the link and the pics!

I probably said that a thousand time, but man I'm so glad I ordered it early!
