Sorry, they came out pretty useless. Video too. They were taken in bright sunlight in a snowy lot on a Sony camcorder. It was waaaaay too bright. The glare is horrible.

So I'm out.......

I'm glad that I waited until they showed up at the dealer so I could go see it in person.

Its not that it looks bad (I'll leave that for rock lobster....pepto Bismol would be a good description) but I can't do it. The best way to explain the in person experience is just like the way the online pictures look.

In certain lights it looked good...dark tanish peanut butter

Other lights it looks yellowish with a hint of orange and light tan.

Hard to get a good feel to describe it.

In person its not dark at all....Honestly the paint was a tad boring to me because it's so flat and one dimensional. Its similar to commando green in that aspect.

It didn't look bad but I just can't spend 40K on a vehicle with that thought in the back of my mind.

I really liked DCR but but as everyone knows there no longer building them.

Billet it is.....

Duck,

Dont panic over the surface rust, my 2006 looked like that with in 2 months of owning it, and it never got worse.

Hell if it not rusting here in Florida, we all start to get worried...(its made of plastic)

agreed....

I think with black fenders/top and a lift and black wheels dune would look great...it just didn't reach out to me but I should also say that the last 6 out of 10 cars I have owned had a metallic to the paint

The tan leather interior looks really classy with the color..

I checked out about 10 different jeeps and all of the recent deliveries had the pinch seam pre cut and painted.

The older stock were regular.

Understood Cole... It is a hard color to describe and changes in various light. What I find really strange is that the color looks different from a distance vs close up. In one word though, I would still say it would be tan.

I do think its a great color that will grow on people when they are on the roads more, and get personalized. I'm happy with it especially because its a neutral color that I wont get tired of, and it wont show any of that California dust! Silver is a great choice but felt a bit run of the mill to me and my TJ was silver.

Of course some (most?) may not like the painted top as usual, but I actually think as a neutral color it works well and I dont want the black fading experience again. Black fenders are also $50 on CL if I do ever wanna go that way.

I was really surprised that I liked the Sahara stitching on the seats, as they are gold-ish, it matches well.

I've got some Rubi rock rails in the garage which will look much better. Also definitely putting on some 2012 wheels, maybe plastidipped black..

There is no rust at all underneath. Stop and go traffic it seems to lunge occasionally? Otherwise its a real nice driver.

I can also recommend Fred @ San Juan Capistrano. Really easy buying experience and you cant beat the deal. It was really worth the trip down there..

And finally: pics! This was about 5:30pm. Will try and get some sunlight this weekend.

I think the interior with the brown leather and two tone dash looks great.

It looks a ton different depending on lighting...the clear coast is vet prominent. I looked at it when the sun was the worst and it was parked under cover where it was really bright and shady.

I think you will be very happy with it. I agree some very minor changes and it will loom 100% different. Honestly my opinion could be completely different if they would have had the color on a black fender/ roofed Rubicon. I think the rubi rims would look really good on there.

I drove one around for a bit and when I was leaving the driveway It felt like the ebrake was dragging. It felt normal about 10 seconds later.

Once again congrats...we need to get them together when mine shows up.

Sounds good and let the mods begin !

You were not kidding about being in the sun.. They did have at least one with a black top today, believe it was an Oscar Mike. The charcoal wheels did look better.

By the way finance did price match from Chryslerwarranties.com who also occasionally sends a coupon of the web price. Lifetime Maxcare !

Just uploaded some of the pics to my computer after picking this up on 2/27/13. Definitely a cool color that is desert tan/peanutbutter in person, and is not nearly as yellow as any pics I have seen including my own. Just like Commando, pics dont do the color justice...but then again I may be biased, but I love it!

Unboxing the soon to be installed mods that I have been dying to see, since they have been shipped to my family's home over the past year!

Evo b/o coilovers, LOD sliders, EVO 1/4 punder, Magnaflow exhaust, JKS trackbar, Rock Krawler front lower control arms, EVO c-gussets, complete EVO ProTek skid system, spidertrax spacers

I shared your feeling for it, Cole. I just wish it was closer to the OP mock up. I'm bummed! It's between CG and Billet now.

Strizzy that looks awesome!!! Congrats, man! I love the color, especially with my blacked out Rubicon wheels and black fenders and top. Color matching everything would've been too much IMO but with the black I think it's perfect. I love it as well. Now go get those mods on

A friend of mine send me a picture of a Sport 2dr close to his house. Another picture to look at while we wait. He said it's a great mix between Sahara Tan and Dozer.

If dealer starts to receive their order mine should be close.

Learned two important lessons today. 1) Never go wheeling alone and 2) Always have recovery supplies. Ended up getting towed out by a fellow Jeeper. Despite getting stuck and having to wait it was a lot of fun. Next thing on the list is a recovery kit.

Can't wait to get back out on some trails.

Finally!! Got some good news today about my disappeared order! In was blocked at paint status for more than a week but dealer called this morning saying the status was updated. It should be delivered at the dealer on 03/13. They said I should be able to pick it up on 03/15! It's Friday next week! Only 11 nights without sleeping. I will survive!
