Got the 7year extended warranty for 1.5k with a low apr on a good term, and free oil changes for 3 years. All togather we were at the dealer about 5-6 hours, and we left feeling pretty good about the whole deal.
Congrats!! Definitely post some pics when you get a chance, looking foward to seeing some black aftermarket wheels on dune. 5-6 hours...im hoping to be in and out in an hour, not interested in anything else there selling, even got my own financing.I better go in with my game face.

Thats great to hear.I've only seen dune in pics and there's been a few that made me nervous about my choice.I even attemped to change the color not long after i placed my order but it was to late.I've since calmed down as more pics of rubicons with black top and fenders have surfaced.Today when the salesman called to tell me it just showed up he was so excited about the color he got me so pumped i was tempted to take a ride and check it out.

Rad340, go in with your own financing, and they will beat it. That's what did, and the financing guy rocked their apr. it took some time though. Put on your poker face, and go back and forth. The one thing that really helped was playing their waiting game. If you're prepared to wait you'll come out with a good deal.

Oh, the color in the pics shows up brighter/lighter than the actual dune color. It's peanut butter! Wow, I love this thing!

My girlfriend finally got her Jeep yesterday. This color is perfect. I'm definitely in need of one myself one day.

I remember when mine looked that clean! 2 days after I got it we had a rain/snow storm. Dune shows well with dirt and mud on it. I love this Jeep.
It rocks!

When she picked it up yesterday, it was a shitty mix of rain/snow. But the day before and supposedly this entire week other than yesterday = nice and sunny. Just from yesterday the Jeep is dirty as hell (at least it doesn't show in the picture). Go figure...

Edit: You can kind of see how dirty it got on top of the passenger side of the front bumper.

If Dune were available I might have gotten that instead of Billet. However the best color ever on a Jeep was Detanator Yellow. Bilet is great also and I am most happy with it.

Those rock. I was hoping to get one for the girl's Jeep eventually. These are my favorite rear bumpers for sure.

I'm just trying to decide between ordering Billet, waiting to see Dune, or finding a Crush with my options (since I can't order that anymore).

So, how many of you guys are dying to find out what 'Dune' looks like before you order??
I thought the books were better than the movie.

Yup, it looks good covered in dirt. All the nooks and crannies take on a different look with a bit of dirt.
My wife and I took her out to explore the minimum maintenance roads in the Nebraska back country last night. It was lots of fun. Jumped 2 pheasants next to an old cemetery, and watched young calves buck around. Not much to some, but it was pretty entertaining to us!

That sounds really fun to me. My wife and I are heading out this evening with the freedom tops off, to do nothin' more than to grab a BBQ sammich, wander the hills, and watch the sun set.

I live in Central City, but the stage coach and wagon are in Kearney right off of I80. When your heading west on I80 they are on the north side of the hwy. Right before the museum that crosses over the hwy.

A picture of my hood with the hats we get with the Jeep for my daughter, my son, my wife and me.

And I need to share this picture of an old Scrambler, which looks almost Dune. What do you think?

Was that an available color for the Scrambler?

There was a color somewhere between Dune and Sahara Tan. Those half doors are from a YJ.

Lets see your updates!

Now that everyone has had their Dunes for a few months, I'd like to see the changes/mods/growth/route/twists that everyone went with(please list specs). All my specs are in my signature bar, as well as a link to my build thread.

Here's mine as she sits today.

I showed you mine...now show me yours!

^^Nicely done! I have to say this thread hit a major wall, How is everyone liking their Jeeps? Hey Strizzy are those LoD sliders? if so would you mind posting up more pics?

Edit: Just read your signature, How are you liking the sliders? they take a beating pretty well? How long did you have to wait on them, I heard it takes LoD a while

Thanks!

My build is just getting started and I currently have a JCR bumper and engo winch that should get mounted next week

Next on the list is sliders and I am trying to decide between LoD and TnT customs if anyone has some input!

To be honest I havent been able to beat them up yet. I have only hit some mud and dirt hills back in Ohio. I am taking her on the Rubicon in about 7 weeks and that will be her main first test. I have no doubt that they will handle almost anything I can throw at them and never think twice. I MAY have them welded on in a year or so, just for more piece of mind.

I ordered them knowing I would have a wait and it took about 5-6 weeks to get them. I will say that if you are leaning towards an LOD rear bumper and tire carrier AND sliders to call LOD directly. They will work with you and get you a bit of a better price.

....aaaaand just to add another pic(i have no kids so this is my baby that Ill shove in your facce whether you like it or not lol) to the thread
