Wanting to add a softop for limited use...

I've got a hardtop for my JK, and I love it but it has its limitations.....namely, I can't take it with me.

I've wanted to take the top off so many times, but left it on because of a chance of rain....and, of course, it never rains......except the one time I risked it and got caught topless an hour from home in a thunderstorm......

To remedy this problem, I've been thinking of adding a softtop for summer use. I'm looking at the Bestop Trektop.

My question is, if how difficult is it to swap back to the hardtop if I wanted to drop it back on for a few days here and there?

Essentially, I'd love to be able to change the tops on a whim.....but if it takes a couple of hours to do the swap, it might not really be practical.

Thanks for any advice

There's a lot of good information in Soft Top HELP!!!.

On page one, there is a good review of the OEM tops vs the trektop that was written by Nuke83. He owns all three, so you get a real person's thoughts.

I believe once you get the hang of taking the tops on and off, lots of guys get it down to being done in just a few minutes. The more you add/remove, the quicker you will get... Jeep tops, that's all I'm talking about, guys! JEEP TOPS!
