But the only thing the dealer here has are JKU's. I'm retired, live alone with my dog and that's what I want. And the lone jeep dealer here does not have a good reputation, and really shows no interest at all in finding or getting me what I want. My only problem is driving an hour and a half to two hours to the closest dealer to get close to what I want. Should I have reservations for doing this? I'm paranoid about the local dealer giving me less than sterling service when it comes to warranty work. Although I'm sure I could get a better deal if I did go to Houston or Austin.
Dealers trade inventory all of the time. It seems like they don't care if they sell vehicles. Go to Houston or Austin. Someone in those areas will probably chime in.
That sums it up right there... and like the other guys have said, order one if need be. Gotta throw in my .02 on one thing though... get the Alpine.
2dr, 6spd, Premium top, Alpine= Perfect.
This happened to me too. Got jerked about for a bit but finally just ordered one from the factory to spec. I wanted a sport stick. Thought it'd be easier to find. I was totally wrong.
Heck, I'm driving out to Houston from north Florida to pick up my 2016 when it comes in. If 5.5% under invoice is in the price range you want to pay, give Mark Gusman at River Oaks a shout. If all new car purchases were this pleasant, maybe I'd buy more new cars.....
Order a new 2016 the way YOU want it..You can get a better deal as it is a shure sell and the dealer does not have to pay floor plan... Also dealers load them up with options to increase their profit margin on the vehicle... This is why the ones on the lot all have auto, a/c, JKU, premium sound, etc... With me it is just me and the dog and I ordered a new 2dr. stick with premium top and I love it... Yo will never find one sitting on a lot... Not enough profit margin...
Also if you don't like that dealer then find one you do... If he does not care if he makes a sell to you then he will not care if he gives you a deal... Not only that but their service dept. can't be too good either....
I think the tank color is the best on a jeep but the hydro blue looks really sharp. Especially with the willys package as the black contrasts really well.
Thanks for all your help guys. But this color thing is killing me. I feel like a little kid in a candy store looking at all the different colors of candy in the big jars. I think tank is my color of choice, but don't think I'm gonna find one. I really like the way the red with black look together. Lots of blues and silvers left to choose from. I'm 64 years old and my kids think I've lost my mind. Well they're not gonna get to borrow it!
64 is the new 44! Don't sweat it. I'm 51 ordered a 2016 (6 spd manual no less)1 week ago. And btw, ran in my first half marathon last year to celebrate turning 50 (course is was a half marathon in Las Vegas...but I did run it!).
Anvil is my fovorite color but couldn't find one. Tank my 2nd favorite, but just too dark for the Texas heat (for me). So ordered a 2016 white. Which is IMO a nice classic color for jeep.
Yep, just order what you want. My girlfriend and I looked at a few today and we thought we would like the blue but the regular red color turned out to be our favorite, it's just beautiful and works so well with the black parts. Good luck on your decision. We still have to check out the orange color.
